I’m so glad I found this website. It’s comforting to know there are others out there who can relate to a similar, never-ending pain, and who understand the reasoning behind suicide as a means of a solution.
I’ve done a lot of research on the helium method, and have decided this will most likelybe my method of “exiting”. I’ve already purchased a helium tank; however, instead of using a plastic bag, or hood, to cover my head, I was wondering if simply releasing the helium in an air-tight/non-ventilated space, such as the trunk of a car, would work just as well. It’s essentially the same technique of using helium to die ( by asphyxiation). I simply wouldn’t use a bag. Has anyone heard of this being done? Does it sound like a feasible method?

I’ve looked into this right now! How weird, I’m researching it myself. I found quite a few links about it but no mention of the trunk of a car or anything similar. It only talks of a bag. It does tho say that even mouth masks are no good to use as the flow of the gas coming out lifts the mask off your face. Trunk of your car sounds plausible tho. I’ll keep an eye on this link because I would prefer that myself to a hood.
