Guys,
I’m seriously hurting for some advice. Long story short: I was planning to go out using the helium method, someone found the tanks, the tanks have been taken away. I feel like such an idiot.
Lucky I kept two very well hidden. I can still pull this off if I time it right, but I’m only going to get one shot at it. Please help me. I have to make this work.
I described my setup here a week or so ago. I didn’t get much advice then so I’m begging for it now. I’ve researched this method thoroughly, but there’s one aspect of it that I still haven’t found the answer for.
I wrote:
“It seems like the main problem people encounter is the instinctive removal of the hood after falling unconscious. From a passage I’ve read in the Final Exit addendum, this is likely caused by too much oxygen leaking into the hood which prevents the brain from entering anoxia. And once the helium feed shuts off, the person ends up subconsciously removing the hood.â€
“I was thinking of restraining my hands but that would make turning the valves rather awkward. Should I not restrain my hands and simply trust the system to work as described?â€
What do you think guys? Would hand restraints resolve this problem?
Please tell me what I should do.

I think that if you want to put this much effort into killing yourself, you care enough about yourself to put some of that energy into staying around and trying to make things work. You could always move and see what new surroundings will do.

I haven’t seen much advice on here helping people kill themselves… It’s mostly advice for people to overcome their problems. No offense, nobody really wants to feel like they’ve helped someone die.
That may be why not many people have replied to you.
I looked into the helium method but was put off by everyone complaining about it and alot of people saying they woke up once a full tank was empty with just a headache and they did everything right plus i live with my parents so too hard to hide the tank
may i ask why you want to end your life?
