I see your point. As mortals we all have this innate “will to live” to defy death and look in right in the face and triumph over it.
Like in the movies: for example in 2012.
If that were to actually happen like it did in the movie (the arks at the end were far-fetched) Why try and survive? Where the heck would you go, why would one place be safer then another? How would anyone know that?
Another good movie thats hard to watch:The Road, end of the world type. with Viggo Mortensen, watch it ppl, that is exactly what would happen, and ppl resort to cannibalism.
And that movie Armeggedon with Bruce Willis, its great and all, but if an asteroid was on its way, maybe its time it destroyed the earth. Because we humans can’t get along down here, evil is everywhere God and the Lord are mad at all of us sinners down here, JUST END IT ALREADY!
Disclaimer: These are just my thoughts, don’t anybody get all upset, that I think that maybe its just best for everyone that the world would just end. Maybe then we can move on to a better place.
But maybe this is the whole point in living, to test us to see if we can get along and just love one another.
Have we failed? As a whole?
