Earth is too small

Not at all sure if this makes sense to anyone but me:

I feel completely trapped in this world at times, and I don’t mean that purely metaphorically.

What I mean is that I feel stifled by earth itself, and the way it’s unescapable.

I want to jump of the earth and into the universe, if that makes any sense.

Our world just feels too small and restricted.

No matter how far in the world I travel, it will never be far enough.

Because I’ll still be on earth.

I want to be in the galaxy, amongst the stars.

By that I mean literally.

I don’t mean that I want to die in order to escape the world, because if I die I’ll still be on earth, either buried or scattered.

No, I want to literally be able to jump off a point in our world and end up in the universe, just floating around in the darkness for a while.

Not necessarily forever, just a little while.

I know that’s physically impossible, unless I became an astronaut (impossible, failing maths and physics)

And I know a trip into space is not completely impossible, but that involves a rocket or whatever.

I want to be able to literally fly amongst the stars for a bit, just by myself.

And the worst part is that I know that stars are just burning balls of light, most of which have been dead for thousands of years.

So all of this is completely impossible, because in my imagination, stars are twinkly and silver and alive.

And I don’t have a clue what my desire to escape the earth for a while means.

Can anyone explain this desire to me?

Can anyone explain why I’m finding the world a claustrophobic place to be?

Please?
