well the other day my friend and I were talking about self harm. She said that reopening wounds was a form of self harm but I said no its just curiosity well I’m here asking people opinion about it.
Is it really considered self harm?
depends on where the wound is and if you have it with self harm intentions…very big self-harmer myself so…yeah…if its with curiosity, no but with intentions of the harm then yes, it is technicaly self harm.
Depends on your motives, really.. the same person could argue that smoking cigarettes is “self harm” when a lot of people just smoke because it helps them relax, or as a way to deal with stress. If you’re intentionally hurting yourself because you want to hurt yourself or you want to feel pain, then that is self harm, in my opinion. Otherwise, if you’re just picking off a scab for example, just because, then that would be based more on curiosity or a bad habit.

If you have to ask, usually the answer is yes!
