Rainbows

I know this is stupid but I had to make a poem for english and I worked for days on this becaue I tried so hard not to write about anything too deep since we had to explain the meaning being conveyed in the poem… So I guess if you’re feeling sad search or draw or think up a rainbow because rainbows make me happy and this is what happens to me when I see one… And also just to let you know this is a scene I set out of me walking to school…

As I search for that rainbow

 

Vengeful clouds devour the sky

Chill infects my heaving chest

Dragon breath creeps from my sigh

The trees conditions are not the best

 

Olden track falls below the now silent street

The monstrous train powers forth

The ringing surges through my ears to feet

My drained body not standing the loud roar

 

Orange brick houses tower over the concrete walkway

Blocking the only warmth of sun

Feeling drained until I see something created by the rays

Across the sky a double rainbow runs

 

As the rainbow found me

 

I try to get that photo swiftly

Trying to get that perfect shot

As the rainbow smiles at me

I search for that golden pot

 

 

As the rainbow becomes me

 

I feel like a millionaire

The rainbow that now is my day

That double rainbow that is so rare

Grows across the sky all the way

 

The thoughts take over

 

Can you find that rainbow?

Will the rainbow sink into you?

Or is there something other than a rainbow?

That lightens up the inside of you
