What’s the point of life?

If the earth is a tree and we are fruit, the tree will exist a lot longer than us. We will either be eaten or decay through some natural cause. Our brief existence may or may not bring about a perpetual series of events that defines the life we have lived. As long as you are able to influence your environment no matter how minimal and deem your actions to have a lasting effect that will not always be confine to our own atmosphere then it cannot be said that your life was devoid of purpose. It is necessary for the tree to produce fruit to perpetuate it’s own existence. That in itself is purpose but we can’t always see the future and history shows that it unfolds in the most unexpected way.
