Well, I wasted another day, and when anticipating more of the same tomorrow, I decided tonight was good enough.
I am using ********, and I read where someone used an air line respirator. That sounded best to me, for the questions I had about my exhaling CO2 would not be relative with a sealed respirator.
I had previously attached all of the tank, hose, respirator, and was confident that the fitting were all air tight. On my 22 Cu Ft tank, the regulator has its typical two dials, and a shut-off valve near the connection of the hose for the head gear.
Put on the sealed respirator with clear plastic face mask, flipped the value to “on” and gurgling sounds accompanied the gas into the face piece.
Supposedly, 10 seconds and you’re asleep … well …
not me. I began to feel asphyxiated. Breathing became harder, and it was not the smoothe sleep I expected. I took off the mask, and shut the valve.
So I returned to this site. Problems with my plan:
1. I did lie down. Not recommended on this site.
2. Purging this hard shell mask is not really an option, so I think that I will always have a mixture, instead of total NO2.
Not good.
I will try once more tonite, sitting up, and if that fails, tomorrow, its the turkey bag with draw string.
I am expecting a smooth, painless transition. If I write another post, you’ll know I left some other particular out, then back to the drawing boards

Are you so sure tomorrow might not be better? Yeah life hurts, but you are real and unique.
If it is in fact true that your body reacts to CO2, rather than lack of oxygen to breath, then all you need to do is get rid of the CO2. I will bounce that off my doctor on Monday, I have an appointment for a physical, and she was concerned about some other issues. Well, guess what doc, I found out, and there’s nothing you can do about it, and I don’t need any of the crap you can dispense.
If all it takes is a helium atmosphere, then the only problem is helium rises. Argon would do just as well, but argon sinks. Put a tank of each in a small room, crack the valves on both tanks, just a little. Turn on a fan, and sit down and read a newspaper.
Simple isn’t it?
Where do you get these things? Well, they aren’t controlled substances, and they do have industrial applications, so let your fingers dance on the keyboard. I happen to have a charge account at a supplier of both, but they normally sell me things like, small bronze rods. Some of my work has been X-rayed, and I’ve been certified for certain jobs I did.
