You’re definately not the only young male in the world who has ever had that ‘problem’. It’s quite common, don’t beat yourself up over it. What is PGAD?
Masturbation in itself is not a problem or something to be a shamed of however when something becomes an addiction then it can get in our way.
If for example your masturbation is keeping you from forming relationships. A kind of excuse that keeps safe from risking involvement.
If this is an addition congratulations on the courage of wanting and asking yourself for better.
Labeling an issue you wish to change not normal or judging it at all will also just get in your way of getting what you want. .
If your habit is an addiction there are 12 step like programs that might help (Not necessary requiring public meetings)

Sorry you’re in this situation. I think it’s that you’re doing it all the time, not just that you’re doing it really! But if you want to stop, just like any habbit, you need to distract yourself with other things like reading, walking, listening to music… Anything that’ll take your mind off masturbation or wanting to do it. Otherwise, maybe you couldd cut back a bit, and then a bit more, until you stop. Either way I hope you have good louck at working this out. I still don’t think it’s the masturbation thing since almost everyone does it, I think it’s how often you’re doing it. Like you can drink soft drink every day if you want, but drink too much and that’s a problem. I hope I’ve helped!
Just to add a bit to what MichelleJ sed. Set a goal for yourself. Go a half day without touching yourself in that way. Find out what the triggers are that you may have to cause you to want to do this. If porn is involved or others things, cut them out. The battle is in your mind. It starts there and then flows into actions. Distraction is good. Make a strong effort in your mind to force yourself to do something different. Get out of yourself, go out and do a random act of kindness to someone. Small goals, small victories lead to bigger ones and then maybe you go a day or two. The first week is the hardest. Almost like quitting cigarettes. Chew gum to distract yourself. No alcohol or drugs as that will weaken your resolve. Keep telling yourself you can overcome this. If you slip and fall, then get right back up and keep trying. No self imposed guilt trips that never help. Pray! It really helps. If you do this and overcome this then you can apply this to other problems that might come up. The battle starts in your mind. It can either build us or break us by what we put in it. Garbage in and garbage out. Don’t be ashamed. You reached out and that is the first step.
