Suicide can never be accepted in society, at least not the way I see it right now. Of course I’m talking about the American society, I’m sure other country’s could care less if their people commit suicide.
I want cannabis to be legal world wide, that would be a great day to see. I’d be growing as much I could. But for now, society won’t fully accept cannabis for what it is.
How come when we can’t accept something as a society, we try to change it to be more acceptable for everyone?
Lets say “Johnny” wants to kill himself. He’s got no family or friends or reason to live or even the desire to do so. No one is gonna miss him when he’s gone. What harm are we doing by letting Johnny kill himself? Why would somebody care all of a sudden when Johnny wants to die? To me, that sounds like real cruelty there! How can you just overlook some one for so long and then just intervene after he’s lost all hope? Is that what human nature has become? Just a cruel joke? I guess so!
All this trying to get around society’s relentless grip, just to get what we want as an individual.. But it’s obvious that society doesn’t accept the individual as they come, instead it tries to mold us all into exact replicas of each other.
If only we could take society as a whole, and just flip it all inside out..
I think we would get better results!

I suppose if you wait until someone is completely broken and hopeless, and has given up, to intervene… you will then encounter a totally malleable person who can be most easily subjected to your whim, and whatever conditions you might wish to impose upon them, with very little, if any resistance.
Lots of people live under the delusion that everything should be whatever false reality they’ve been taught, or come to prefer. I realize some of you may think that seems hypocritical of me, but it really isn’t, though i’m sure it can be construed as such. There is a way about learning how to judge appropriately, and arrive at reasonable expectations, and form a justifiable ideal of what “should” be. Not everyone is equally capable of such things, so only very few people will understand and agree about the most appropriate ideals. Lots of people will insist we strive for the impossible, which can only result in wasted efforts. Others will insist we not strive for anything at all, which will only allow the current conditions to perpetuate. Lots of people will insist, because they truly believe, that we should strive for the wrong things. Others know which things are actually right, and what we should actually be doing… but no one sees the entire process and all its details clearly.
It’s entirely possible for humans to cooperatively discover an almost all-encompassing, mutually beneficial arrangement, which can be far better than the way things currently are… but there are too many people who do not want that to occur, and are in position to obstruct it, just enough so that it doesn’t.
When something just is what it is, you can’t change it. The right way is to change how it is perceived, by changing the information people are given, and giving them the tools to properly understand that information.
I think we need to look to the men behind the curtain, rather than the elaborately contrived special effects and booming voices trying to distract and deceive us. The wizards of oz are just people. They’re not really wizards at all.
And some of these jack asses are just a bunch of flying monkeys hopping around to earn a banana! 😉
I’d like to be able to grow my own bananas. That would be cool.
If I had land (anything more than an acre) (&$) I’d be experimenting with all kinds of foods and growing techniques. And I’d grow two big bushes of every kind of cannabis I can possibly manage to cultivate! Ugh.. Life would have true meaning then!
“…a boot stamping on a human face – forever.”
Right now I’m medicating with this kind called “Purple Jolly Cookies”..and let me tell you, I am in love with this medicine. It tastes and smells of sweet hash and rips into my brain every time. Keeps me alert and yet relaxes my muscles to ease physical tension. And every hit is as powerful as the previous one. I need to find this plant! lol
people gets bewildered because they can’t conceive one taking his life. they find it the most unreasonable thing to do, because its something they themselves never can or thought about, for they are attached to their life all too much. they becomes afraid, since if “johnny”, a human being, can do it then they too can. and the (unconscious) realization of it freaks the hell out of them.
being in suffering is normal, since they too endure it everyday. getting out of it is taboo, because they don’t, and can’t, do it.
@quaero- you’re right.
And I think I was making a point on another post (a few days back) that society and government see suicide as a bad example of how to participate in a “functioning society”. It’s a bad example to tell kids that this is an option later on, kinda like drugs and alcohol, gambling and pornography…or you can kill yourself!?
See? That’s just not going to be acceptable ,as a whole anyways. So the only obvious solution is to make it as hard to do as possible. Although I’m sure some one out there is trying to argue that they should make it easier for people to kill themselves, which I wouldn’t agree with because..hey, it’s “your” life isn’t it!? 😉
@RT3; If you have your medical marijuana card you can legally grow your own “medicine” in California. I can’t remember the specifics – something like seven plants can be cultivated at a time per individual card holder.
You should do some research and get in touch with your inner farmer. You could save a lot of money – imagine not having to buy medicine anymore. Growing is a great hobby; it’s therapeutic, plus you’ll get a tremendous sense of accomplishment once harvest time rolls around. All you need is sunshine, seeds, water and a few other supplies. (You don’t need seeds if you know other growers – just get some clones from them. You can work out some sort of trade that’s mutually beneficial).
@C4- way ahead of you my friend! 😉 and it’s good to see you, btw.
I already grow! I’ve been very active in the legal cannabis movement as well. I’ve been employed by big grow ops to do quality control as well. I’m not growing right now, but I’m sitting under one of my 1000watt light hoods right now as I’m writing this, and next to a 750cfm carbon filtration system. You get the idea.
In prepping to eventually do a low volt grow for the winter, but I’m very broke at the moment. And I can’t grow as much as I’d like to due to the fact that I don’t have enough space and I could still get busted for doing too much around here. I don’t have need to do that much production anyways. And it’s tedious to boot!
But fuck… I love growing
Right on, RT3. It’s good to “see” you too.
Whenever I hear of anybody who smokes everyday and still buys their medicine, I can’t help but think they’re wasting their money by not growing. It is tedious in that you have to monitor your garden, you’re right. but I always thought of it as a labor of love. Those were my babies I was taking care of.
I’m not going to suggest that you break any laws. Back when I did it cannabis was still completely illegal, but it was financially lucrative. I never made a fortune doing it, but I could drive up to USC or UCLA and unload a pound or so in one weekend. I was providing a community service for a very grateful clientele. (This was back in the 1990’s so at this point I think I’m exempt from prosecution).
Part of me daydreams about doing it again, but the potential downside prevents me from embarking in a “criminal enterprise”. Farming was by far the most enjoyable “job” I ever had. I did get caught but I never spent a day in jail. (Long story). *sigh*
You know, moving to Colorado and setting up shop there doesn’t sound like a bad idea.
@C4- fuck yeah.. My parents were suppose to move us out there in the mid 90’s… *thinks about it* …..GOD DAMN IT!!!!
Oh well! Yeah I love the plant over all but I really have little desire to make money off it. I sold weed “second hand” when I was young but in the years I’ve been a farmer I just enjoy the process and the reward, plus my parents help to pay for power and supply’s by making contributions when I bring them a basket of fresh flowers. 🙂 My baby’s are all the baby’s I will ever have..and now that you mention it.. It’s time to have more baby’s I think! 😉
Haha. It sounds like you get it. I wasn’t in it to get rich either. The plan was to make enough money to pay for college and cover living expenses. It worked out pretty well. A friend and I rented a three bedroom apartment and used the spare room as a grow space. We got caught because our electricity bill was 4 or 5 times as much as everyone else in the apt. complex.
Law enforcement showed up on a Friday morning at around 6AM. They used a battering ram to knock down the front door. It was funny; the battering ram had a sign on it that said “May I come in please”? A member of the Narcotics Task Force drew a .45 on me while I was still in my underwear. I’d just gotten out of bed after I heard the front door come crashing open. They took everything. All the plants, my growing equipment, the nutrient solutions, bongs, my personal stash, etc. I felt like I’d been raped.
Anyway, I haven’t broken too many laws since then. Every time I do I get caught, so now I’m a boring compliant member of society who pays his taxes, drinks beer, and daydreams about dropping out of society. This is all really off topic, by the way. I think I’ll read your post now.
I find it funny that people actually believe mary jane is legal in certain states….its not…. and its a cruel ass game the government is playing….see weed is only legal at the state level….not federal….so anytime somebody in the federal government needs to meet a quota? …..guess who they’re coming after? yup that’s right! your unsuspecting weed seller/grower who thought it was legal not realizing the federal government supersedes state government….and yes they do have quotas they have to fill just like local PD officers…..How likely is a federal government crackdown on a small time grower? probably not likely if you aren’t making too much money….however it is still possible and all possible precautions need to be taken to remain anonymous and off the radar…
In the end I’ve realized suicide is never going to be accepted anywhere….for no other reason other than they need to make money off of you somehow….even a homeless non working guy generates money for somebody somewhere…..even if it’s not a lot you’re worth more alive then dead….unless of course you’re somebody with the status of Michael Jackson or Elvis then you’re worth more to other people dead than alive…..if you don’t want to run you don’t have to….don’t want to watch T.V? that’s your choice…..don’t want to work? your decision……but as soon as you decide you don’t want to live? it becomes a serious problem regardless of the alleged moral issue fuck that …its the fact you’re fucking with somebodies potential profits….and in this society that just isn’t accepted.
That’s why God invented solar panels. To help pot growers avoid having spikes on their electric bills.
Federal officials have stated that they will not go after individual growers. If you’re a small time aficionado cultivating a few plants for personal consumption, the DEA couldn’t care less.
Weed is legal in certain states despite the fact that it violates federal laws. Yes, federal law supersedes state law, but if the feds aren’t going to enforce these laws – who cares?
It’s like speeding – you’re only “breaking the law” if you get caught. 🙂
Thank God the corrupt Fed’s have no jurisdiction in the Netherlands. You can get busted for trafficking, but thankfully you can still always walk into a cafe, sit down order a latte & 10 grams of quality skunk. But I’ve decided to quit smoking skunk. For me it’s herbal tea all the way from now on, it’s extremely cheap & extremely relaxing.
Federal officials are lying…. I remember watching a special on CNBC called marijuana INC where several small time growers reported being raided by authorities…..maybe because they were selling much of it but I guess if you keep it to yourself you won’t get waxed….but I don’t trust federal officials to keep their word…. If they legalize it on the federal level then fine but as long as something is federally illegal never trust anybody saying they won’t come after you….given the right motivation they will kick anybodies door in….the war on drugs isn’t going anywhere anytime soon people….
in other words…
¡Viva la Revolución!
@slave- though didn’t they take the right for tourists to partake in these pot cafe places? (which I’ve been to btw..love Amsterdam)
@C4 & Pain- yeah I get really scared sometimes thinking that all my things can be taken away at anytime. When you hear the horror stories of people being busted severely for just a small amount of pot, it really makes me paranoid. I don’t belong in prison, that’s for sure.
But I guess that’s the game we play- there are organized policy set in place to generate money, that money coming from us as individuals, and we try not to get used in the process. Back and forth, back and forth. But they will get their money one way or another. I have to pay a $420 speeding ticket, and I wasnt even speeding! 😮
I’m gonna walk down to the old stream bed and find a cool rock that I can put in my fish tank. 🙂 last night I totally cleaned out the whole tank and added new gravel, air stones and plants, the fish are loving it. I just need one nice looking stone to even out the look of the tank.
Later folks!
Whoa! Are you implying that the federal government would lie?! The US government is capable of breaking a promise?!
hehe. Yeah, ok. I see your point.
Maybe I could paddle a small raft out to a deserted island somewhere and start growing. Set up a large scale operation. After I harvest my yield, I’ll find some well connected pirates to transport the “medicine” back to the mainland. They’ll find independent contractors to disseminate product. The pirates can find agents to make individual, retail sales. I’ll front the product to the pirates at wholesale prices.
After a few years I’ll buy the island and declare my rock in the ocean an autonomous nation. I’ll recruit Victoria’s Secret models to come live in my (clothing optional) Cannabis Republic. Maybe I’ll hire a few pirates to serve as maritime law enforcement.
It’ll be an idyllic, Utopian existence. I’m going to go research rafts now.
@C4 That sounds nice. Would you mind if I invited myself to your Utopia?
Sure, why not. Do you have a raft? You don’t mind paddling, do you?
I’ll get my butler to do that. He’s a pretty handy guy.
2 guys and one girl in the raft isn’t exactly the picture I envisioned.
Deal with it. Sebastien was sworn to protect and serve me and protect and serve me he shall.
@C4 lol sounds like an excellent plan! but the US government would find someway to fuck you over ….especially since you are importing drugs into their country….and you know they’d find out….some rat would get busted and squeal quicker than a mouse….
You guys aren’t going to believe this. Houston was up 20-3 over Seattle, now the game is tied at 20 apiece with less than two minutes left in the 4rth quarter.
I’m sure you’re all dying to know what I’ve been doing with myself since I last posted. Well, I had a nap, then went for a walk, saw a tonne of kewl antique automobiles (including some sweet motorcycles), fell in love with a Spanish woman who looked like Penélope Cruz*, and got a nice Frappuccino. All in all, it’s been a fairly eventful afternoon.
*I don’t think she loves me back, so I’m still available. Just in case anyone was wondering.
@persephone….. ehhhh Penélope Cruz is alright but a Roselyn Sánchez look alike is what you’re after …..that lady is so hot she can’t be around fire alarms….. ba dum tss
You’re right. She’s actually not that bad. Reminds me of Naya Rivera, another hottie.
Yes….she’s smokin’ as well….but I think Zoe Saldana is arguably the hottest Spanish actor …. reagan gomez is another spanish hottie too….we’d be here all day naming spanish hotties
Spanish women are something. I can speak some of the language in an okay accent, that’s the best I can do.
I suck in Spanish….I can say a few things other than that its over…..If I ever get kidnapped and released in mexico I’m screwed
Well, same here, but I think I could pick it up with enough exposure. I should really try to learn more on my own.
If anyone wants to see one of the cars I spotted today, check the media library.
