That moment when u don’t know if what you want today is what you actually want or what todays brain chemistry is telling you that’s what you want and if tommorrows brain chemistry will tell you the same thing or the exact opposite, in such a case do you take half if it or sack up and drink beer untill everything becomes not thing more than something to piss against, prehoas dogs have the right idea. They sniff something to see if its interesting then they piss on it and keep going.. Perhaps that’s where humanity has gone wrong

Humanity went wrong when it rejected God.
Hey wig, when exactly do u think humanity rejected god?
What if rejecting god meant we stopped pissing on random objects that we found interesting? 😮
By saying we should do what dogs do you mean we should piss everything we don’t like? i might have to start drinking more water then 🙂 …. but seriously, i’ve always wondered about this people who claim they have all their life figured out and know exactly what they will do with it… what if they realize they don’t like what their pursuing eventually? guess you always have to have some backup for everything. Wish i knew that years ago 😀
likely the first day.
Keief in saying we should both physically and metaphorically piss on everything, that way we know from day one that its all just a steaming pile of piss. No illusions no fucking around just go in, take a nice piss and get out..
@wig, can we really turn away from something we never faced? What has god ever done for us, baring in mind ur talking to a suicide forum.
@keief: I learned that lesson the hard way. I was all computer and technology obsessed for years, went to school for it and everything, then realized I hate computers and technology. Go figure.
If god is omnipresent, then it’s impossible to turn away from him. Ba dum tiss.
Buahaha lorax as always u rock
@lorax: you gotta be kidding me, that is one of the reasons i’m at the point were i am at, lol, studying IT and programming and realizing i hate it, i know you don’t like people agreeing with your point but… 😀 haha
@keief: are you also contemplating starting from scratch and studying biology or botany or something? 😮 I was thinking about marine biology, since sea urchins are so damn cool. They have no eyes, so they use their whole bodies to see. They have photoreceptor cells all over them.
@lorax: to be honest i’m not really far from that haha. i’m considering either studying psychology (yup, kinda contradictory since i’m here, but i believe that usually a screwed up mind might help other screwed up minds better than a “normal” one) or videogame design.
Honestly the 2nd one is just to have an option that would give me work that is more creative (since i like arts and creating stuff) and not throwing away everything i’ve already learned… but i’m more set on the 1st one tho.
You really want to study marine biology? a former friend of mine was studying that and she loved it, talked about sea stuff all the time haha
@keief: Psychology is a pretty cool field, as is video game design – I know more about psychology, though. lol. I don’t think it’s possible to ever throw away what you’ve learned, even if you radically shift fields – you’d be amazed at how many psychologists also use computers. Plus, having IT know-how comes in handy if you ever feel like picking up side-work installing printers or removing viruses. I do graphic design, myself – I never got the hang of Illustrator, so I only ever use Photoshop, but I can design the hell out of logos and stuff. I’m actually starting to make a steady volume of sales on zazzle.com with the more abstract nonsense I throw together.
And yes… 😀 Aquatic life is amazing. Marine-botany would probably be a little trickier to get into since I don’t know if that’s even a field. As such, I’m cool with sea-anemones and lampreys. Haha… I’ve always had a thing for ocean life. I think that started when I was 12 and caught an octopus while fishing. Those things are so freaking cool.
@lorax: I know, but i meant it as in i would use the same set of skills in the same sort of word. Funnily enough, psychology and graphic designer were my first choice when i was choosing in the first place i have no idea how i ended up in programming (well, i do know, but i had little choice there :D)
Catching an octopus sounds cool, didn’t he throw ink at you or something? always wondered if that really happened outside of cartoons haha, and well… marine botany does exist https://www1.cfnc.org/Plan/For_A_Career/Career_Profile/Career_Profile.aspx?id=TCLoXAP2BPAXQE8QCmTzMKGiXAP2BPAX8H9AXAP3DPAXXAP3DPAX , got curious enough as to go looking
They do squirt ink, but if you manage to get ’em out of the water, the only thing you really need to worry about are those suction cups and their beak. Their suction cups will shred your skin, and their beak will… uh, double shred your skin, or something. Squirmy little twerps, too. But octopi are masters of camouflage – they can’t see color, only black and white, and yet they have the ability to change both color and texture of their skin to match their surroundings (just like cuddlefish). Zefrank did a video called, “True facts about the cuddlefish,” where he described it as, “Like a lactose-intolerant [master] cheese-maker…” haha
LOL
I wonder if octopus ink can be used in tattoos. You can get inked now with tattoos that only show up under black lights. They’re great when visiting strip clubs.
Octopus ink tattoos….I wonder if anyone has one.
I did a google search, and turns out octopus ink is mostly melanin and some various irritants to ward off predators… probably wouldn’t be fun using that for a tattoo. But what would be cool would be finding a way to integrate the octopi chromataphores into a tattoo, but I haven’t the foggiest idea how that might work. It’d be freaking weird, though… shape and texture-changing tattoos.
Yeah….I’d like to get a dorsal fin implanted on my back too. Can’t find a doctor for that. They’ll give me big titties or a gargantuan schlong, but try and get a shark fin surgically imbedded in your back and it’s like …”oooh, what a freak. Can’t do that”.
shape and texture-changing tattoos… that sounds like rorschach mask from the watchmen comic haha, would be freaky for sure
and isn’t that dorsal fin on the back thing a south park episode?
We live in a very weird world. I still can’t believe the scientific community thinks it’s unethical to implant a death-ray on the back of a hammerhead. One day…
