This poem is kind of the same as last time except it’s more “in the moment” if anything. hope you enjoyed
I’m the girl chasing a dream
but underneath my human skin, i’m a monster
creating visions that are not to be seen
and spilling blood that’s not meant to be cleaned
I terrorize throughout the night
Tearing through their flesh and bone
and as i look for more victims to take,
i realize, I’ve been turned into stone
a stone cold killer, i guess you could say
but that still doesn’t make the pain go away
with every scream ringing in my ear
I continue hold them tight and tell them that i’m here
I’m a monster that kills throughout the night
but during the day, i hide out of sight.
I go in my cave, where it’s dark and cold
I let the people, I’ve wounded stare and scold
I cried my eyes out, from guilt and pain
I tried to prevent it, I even put myself on a chain
But i’m a monster who loves the thrill
and if they can’t stop me, no one will.

Awesome…just awesome. Thanks again Meris, I still haven’t gotten around to making one in your honour yet :-/ In all honesty, this poem says so much. I feel like this somedays, like a monster… Well done for putting these thoughts into words, and tastefully too.
it’s okay, you’ll get there when the time comes hopefully 🙂
this one, actually came randomly. the word “monster” popped into my head and i went from there so it was definitely in the moment and btw, an update, the girl emily is okay…turns out, she had cut her wrist open…then ignored the rest of my messages and when i found out about it, she got surprised and all and we talked about it today. so
again thank you soo much for the positive feedback shep, i really appreciate it 🙂
That’s good to hear that she is okay, I guess you had a few questions for her but at least things are okay with her and hopefully you’ve sorted stuff out with each other. No problem with the feedback, your poetry is both different and surprisingly terrifying…in a good way of course.
Anywho, well wishes to you and your friend. I’ll see you around 🙂
I love it. In all honesty, you are one of the greatest poets ever.
