And yet “what goes up, must come down” with the reason being gravity. Cause and effect, then making sense of it all and providing rationale to the aftermath.
sometimes the reason doesn’t make sense, or seems stupid, but it is a reason, nonetheless.
I’ll take what Shephard said just a bit further:
“What goes up, must come down… because gravity.”
Why does gravity exist?
Suddenly, it doesn’t make sense to quite a lot of people, even when those who have spent their lives studying the research done by those who spent Their lives researching such things, have pretty much figured it out already, and have repeatedly attempted to explain “why” gravity happens.
But people are like “but but but but…!!!”
And suddenly people say “there is no reason.” But yes there is… you just haven’t been able to understand it yet. And i’d say that more often than not, there are a multitude of reasons behind any given event.
If you want, you could even say that “because the universe” is the ultimate reason for everything.
But is there a reason for the universe? I tend to think that even the universe “has a reason,” in that it was the effect of some prior cause. But without the universe existing, we have no frame of reference by which to contemplate anything… and if there is nothing (in the absence of a universe, prior to its existence), then what is there to contemplate? If nothing exists, then in the absence of anything, how can any cause occur, and how can any effect be generated, without something to be affected?

Or some philosophical hoo-hah like that.
then why the fuck do i have a fear of people with guns to my face?
This is solipsism. Everything has a reason and it defies all all shared experience and shared knowledge to say otherwise.
