Of any of it? We go to school for the first 1/4 of our lives, study and spend thousands of dollars out our asses, only to (generally) end up in some job that doesn’t even relate to our degree – if we even end up getting them!
We work for the majority of what’s left of our lives, assuming we live to the expected age of 80 or so, and then we spend the remainder of our days whiling away our time waiting to die anyway…
why not skip out all the bullshit and go ahead with it? We already know how the ending turns out anyway. Why wade through all the shit to come to the same result?

i cannot agree more.. everyday, i am trying my best so that there might a better end. everyday, i give up.. everyday, i am painfully picking myself again.. so that i can create a better world for my friends like you.. so that one day you will enjoy your life the way i want to enjoy mine. you make me come alive. you are my reason to live. i am aware of my smallness, my lack of talent and luck… everything that takes people one shot, takes me ten. but i know.. things need to change. we have created a society which is uncaring, unworthy of being called a ‘human’ society. we still live like animals. but then i see in this desert, a couple of lonely folks trying it to create an oasis nonetheless. So that they do not get totally left out, i do not want to give up. I have never met them personally, but our hearts are probably one. Keep going. Keep going. And you might be able to solve the mystery of life by winning over death.
WOW, Your post is RIGHT ON with how I think and feel.
Your right life is mostly a bunch of baloney and we just wind up getting old and dying after all the crap we went through trying to ‘make it’
its a bunch of baloney
I applaud this honest post and give it a thumbs up and 5 stars. 5 out of 5. Its the truth. Life is such a pile of crapola and then you die why not just get right to the die part and skip all the baloney. I like this post so much I copied it into my personal notebook.
You work and survive all this chaos just for those few situations that make all this crap worth fighting for. And I know these situations exist. It’s just the time in between when you start to question if another one of those moments is ever going to happen again.
I totally agree with you. Who in the world decided we needed ingeneers? or people making clothes? or people working in an office, entering numbers in computers? We need to go back to the essence of life. We need only people cooprating, growing their own veggies, killing their own chickens if they eat some, people loving each other and celebrating the gift of life every night around a giant bonfire where some sing and some dance. That is life. Not studying, shoving all these infos in our brains for no one’s fucking best interest.
wanderlustnebula… lol
At first I thought you were being sarcastic.
Everyone talks about the past like it was glorious or something. Let’s put it into perspective, let’s go back to the time when…
People died from tooth decay
Plagues ravaged entire towns
Doctors treated health problems with leeches among other things (a good way to stay sick)
Public executions were considered good entertainment (hanged bodies do a little “dancing”)
Suicide meant your family was disgraced and your body treated with disrespect
Wars waged in the name of religion
People burned at the stake for “witchcraft”
Animals and people made to fight to the death for entertainment
No running water and all that implies
Approval was needed from family to be married and often they were arranged
Obviously, these vary depending on where in the world you were living and what time period, but all of them had something wrong with them. Life was hard back then. Life is hard now, but we have quite a few more comforts that we take for granted.
Sometimes things are a little too convenient. How often do you see people with their face in their cellphone? People can now live completely in their own little world and ignore everybody else around them. One problem solved, another created.
It’s like the “guns don’t kill people” argument, though. People have always had bad behaviors.
My opinion is not that we need to go back, but that society needs to move forward. We keep making technological advances, more than ever before, but people have not grown along with it. We need a change in mindset, but I can’t see anything pressuring us in that direction. Whenever something goes wrong people just point fingers at each other like a bunch of children.
I either die now or have a long interim of suffering and then die. You are absolutely right there is no reason to go through all this suffering and tedium on the highway to death. Best to get off at the first exit. That’s why stillborn babies are the luckiest people born, and the more years you live the less lucky you are. I am completely ready to die what has always been lacking for me is a humane means of doing so, that’s the only reason why I’m still ticking. Of course the “reward” for struggling, suffering and working many long years on the road towards a natural death is bodily decay and decrepit old age. Ha! What a cruel reward for sticking it out. At thirty (-ish) I have already reached old age from my genetic disorder. I already have the shriveled skin, the elderly-looking appearance, the labored breathing, and the protruding spider veins. No matter what lies we like to tell ourselves, old age is a hideous thing to have to live through. It makes our bodies ugly, shriveled, exhausted, weak, and sick. I would have done anything to have been spared of this experience of old age. I worked so hard too, as a kid, trying so so hard, because I believed the fairy tales the teachers taught, that hard work always results in happy endings (shame on them for making a disfigured child believe in fairy tale endings). And this is what I get. There is no point to this life. Maybe there is some god somewhere entertaining himself by watching us squirm our way through his torture obstical course. Maybe that’s the point. How nice, for him. Whenever I see little kids starting school and teachers working their ass off to start teaching them “everything they need to know for life” I feel sick inside. What they need to know is that life is pointless suffering and that their parents are criminals for creating them. That’s all there is to know. That, and how to escape from these lives we’ve been forced into.
