If we weren’t created by God or some other third party creator, Humanity is essentially the result of a bunch of genetic changes gone haywire, which resulted in most likely unwanted mutations (evolution). In short, humanity is one giant genetic cluster*****.
So if we just “got here”, then life technically doesn’t have a purpose, so life is technically meaningless.
That being said, we are here now, so we may as well do something. Who cares about making a mark on the world. I’m just going to do what I’ve always done: “Suck eternally!”

Yup. Embrace the suck. Most days that is all there is between waking and sleeping.
Depends what you mean by ‘purpose’, If purpose is something posessed by minds, then ‘life’, as a general phenomenon, doesn’t have one. But it does have the fuction of reproducing itself. Which has led to the creation of minds like ours, with purposes. So life doesn’t have some objective, all embracing purpose, but life has created many individual, subjective purposes. Where we run into problems is when our purposes are frustrated and confused.
Throughout the evolution process we’re essentially the result of many, many mutations.
Life has no purpose, other than survival. There’s no meaning, it isn’t precious, it isn’t important. Nothing we can do is important. Only for a short flash in time to those close to us.
But there is amazing beauty to be enjoyed. And amazing pain to be suffered.
Use it if you can. In any way you can.
The above will make many think what i say is negative and depressing. It isn’t. It’s liberating.
Liberating indeed.
Yeah I like what you said Bridge. Some people call that kind of thinking “constructionist”
I call it reality. If someone can dig up a single piece of evidence from all of life’s history to counter that, I’d be interested to hear/see it.
Oh yeah. I forgot one. We/I/You are not special. That little piece of junk bred a whole generation of self-serving entitled brats.
