im 17 years old have no future no money no one who loves or cares about me what reason do I have to go on with my life? Sometimes I just wished I was never born and was already gone.
At 17, you probably have more of a future than you realize. There are literally decades of time ahead of you. Are you looking for money for school? How about checking into grants, scholarships, or student loans? Here in the US, joining the military often comes with paid college tuition.
Once you start the next chapter… college, work, the military, or something else… you’ll probably meet new people and make some friends. Life often changes quite a bit after high school.
What are your goals? What do you like to do? Chances are, there is a way to accomplish what you want to do. Sometimes it takes a little brainstorming… and a little time.
I know how you feel but there is a LOT of reasons to go on with your life.
At 17 I had nobody that cared for me and I had no real direction in life.
I did go to college after high school for a couple years but never graduated.
I wish that i had. But I simply did not know what I wanted to do as a profession
but I wound up traveling cross country and I found a great job and made great friends
and got to meet all kinds of people and had great times. And now I am 42 and I have had
moments where I things were rough but its always worth it to push through the rough ties
because after those times. You learn more about life and then you really appreciate the good
times when they come. I have done a lot with my life. and Im still going
as far as a reason to live to have to finnd a reason to live. Fiind something that you are
passionate about and then persue it. It would be good for you to be career minded at this time
becuase after Highschool you will want to be able to hold down a decent job with good pay so
you can afford to have a good life. The truth is you need money in life.
But you are so young you have so many options. You could go to school, you could join the military, you could find a job where you can work your way up the latter.
You need to connect with some people who can give you some guidancein life.
Maybe you want to go to a police acadmy and become a police officer.
Maybe you want to go to school and learn something in the medicl field.
Jobs are always available in the medical field.
And trust me there are peopele who care about you….
Hi.
I know it’s a struggle, especially with the knowledge that you’ve got so much of a future ahead (technically) and that it should, in fact, be the best time of your life. There’s a lot of pressure and decisions to be faced and in a way, it also seems unappropriate to be depressed in your teens.
I’m 17 myself, but I’m mostly grateful for being able to “make a difference” due to depression and the experiences I’ve gone (and am going) through. It makes you special and irreplaceable at some point, because people who used to need help usually know how to help best afterwards; with particular regards to distant.road and Uptown234.
It’s probably hard to find a place at the moment, notably at your age. Things are certainly going to change, but it’s a fight. I know that. People around you are changing, too, I guess, which makes it even harder to find a hold. But we all feel that way sometimes. You’re not as lonely as you think.
However, people do care, they’re probably just too distracted with themselves right now.
There’s no need in questioning your existence or right to exist anyway since it’s just going to drag you even deeper down into loneliness. I think that’s one of the things you learn when you grow up (because I used to be very much the same a few years ago).
You’re going to go out of this as a stronger person than you ever imagined to be if you allow it to.
I’d be interested in what brought you here, anyway.
And, as distant.road pointed out, please don’t give up on yourself.
You could be a big help to others someday, please try to find help for yourself right now.
Best Wishes,
-R.
Things can be very frustrating when youre 17 especially with all the transitions and expectations upon you to do well, and it leads to alot of pressure and stress. But don’t die. You have a whole world infront of you, and you may not see it yet. But one step a day. Do what you love, find a hobby, take random classes to see what you like, go on adventures. You are still young. We all believe in you and care for you.
