The movie Her. He’s lonely, depressed, sad and bitter and his only human connection is with someone that doesn’t “exist”. Also, the last scene is beautiful.

The Virgin Suicides book and movie really got to me. There’s a documentary called The Bridge about the Golden Gate Bridge suicides and you actually see people doing it. There is also a BBC documentary about depression on YouTube that really gets it right.
