You are having bad thoughts. You’re HAVING them. You didn’t say, “I am my bad thoughts” As long as you know you’re only HAVING bad thoughts and they aren’t really you then sooner or later you’ll stop having them. Maybe they’ll change to kinda bad thoughts, then to just thoughts, then to ok thoughts, then kinda ok thoughts. Hang in…thoughts change like the wind.
Try focusing on something/someone you are greatful for (it could be your cat, or your favorite sweater, etc.). It won’t fix your bad thoughts, but it will keep you going until your bad thoughts get bored and take a break…take it one minute at a time.
