I am watching the Saw Series and the main character “John Crammer” intrigues me. It is interesting how he revitalizes people who would have otherwise been irredeemable if he hadn’t captured and given them a series of tests that push human tenacity to the limit.
Apathetic individuals who’ve lost all hope are given a lease on life when John Crammer paints a gory spectre of death right in front of them. It’s surprising how their lives change when they pass these tests. They cease to be self destructive and live normal lives.
But these are just movies anyway. Real life is a lot more complex.

I’ve watched only the first movie. I’ve heard that the the first is also the best.
What I like about these movies is that the main character tells how important is to live and be alive. He tried to commit suicide and after failing to do that he understood the importance of life, of being alive. “Life is a precious gift”.
He taught other people to value their life.
I watched saw at about 12 I think, then my lust for blood & gore started & got worse & worse, now moved on to real life gore :/
SoonToBeDead,
look i’m going to tell you one more time!!!!, and this goes for eveybody!!! remember you are what you think about!!!!! if your thinking badly things will turn out bad! Change the channel!!!! think positive things and then positive things will happen. and put away the fucking blade! 🙂
That’s not always true most of my life all I did was think positive anytime something negative would happen I was kind of able to deal with it. I use to have so much hope I couldn’t stand it sometimes, but the things that have happend this past year and now has completely whipped all of that out. Anytime I would feel good about something there was always someone or something there to stomp it out and now my only options are to sit and rot away or to die, because if I do anything else something will stop me even if I keep trying. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you think this isn’t some movie where thinking positive is the cure. Obviously that’s not enough In real life.
“Thinking Positive” is so overrated. I share your sentimets @ TheLoner 2
TheLoner2,
Ofcourse it doesn’t always work 🙂
I knew a guy that was positive he was consipated the next thing you know he shit his pants 🙂
That’s a pretty good series, even if they kinda lost it on the last ones (i’d say it’s worth watching up until the third-fourth one). I always wondered if someone in real life would get inspiration from it and start some sort of serial killer career out of it… and i’m actually amazed no one did haha. The premise of the movies do make sense tho, a face to face with death do reinvigorate certain people.
It’s really hard to think positive if you feel bad all the time.
