*I apologize if this turns out to make no sense. I’m on a couple prescriptions that are new and make my thoughts to finger connections cooky.*
There she is. Floating- floating through it all. She steps outside, ducking her head under the door jam. Inhaling the scent that only rain can bring, she smiles. Not a large, toothy, gums for all to see smile; no, this smile is very, very unique. It is the smile that touches her rosy lips when she sees something, or hears a sound that touches her soul. Nothing has touched her soul in a long, long time. Stomping her boot clad feet on the packed earth, she peeks up out from under her cream, chunky knit hat and takes in the morning. The morning has always welcomed her. Morning means that you have survived one more night, that you have one more day. Her ocean-blue eyes catch the whisps of fog that drift lazily with the breath of the northern wind. His gentle breeze carasses her cheeks and the tip of her nose, causing her to let out a gasp. There’s that little smile again. Casting her eyes skyward, she can still see the stars, each slowly waning due to the ever rising rays of the sun. She has always loved the stars- loved their ability to pull her into their lull, their mysterious, unfathomable beauty that she wishes she could be a part of. Her eyes catch a flutter- there’s that little smile again. A golden maple leaf, fluttering its last as it heads for its final resting place. It becomes yet another golden outline of what was upon the sodden earth. Its brethren will soon flutter down to meet him at his final resting place, painting the earth in hues of red and gold. Suddenly, a bit of red lands on her hand. A maple leaf- though tiny for its size, its makes up for it in vivd hues of burnt crimson and rose gold. It seemingly floats above her cupped palm, waiting for the wind to catch it. A smile perches on her lips.
This short story is about a girl (me) who tries to find at least one little beauty everyday. The moment you find beautiful doesnt have to be large and extravagant, just like your smile. It can be precious and small, both moment and smile.
This was me when I walked out my door this morning. I challenge all of my lovelies to find a beautiful moment in your lives, not matter how small. Good luck loves 🙂

In that drop of dew
I can see the sunlight
Shine just so and the
peep peep peep of one
frog lulls me to sleep.
thank you for that lovely moment in time. It was simply inspired.
Of course, love. I’ve been thinking about posting little moments like this. They are long enough for someone who is having a bad day to get lost, even for a moment. Good idea bad idea?
Best idea.
*crack fingers and scouts out best ideas* Tomorrow here we come 🙂
What a thought. Looking forward to tomorrow. Something as simple as a few words for others to read, to allow them to just pause in their pain and take a breath. Tonight, right now, I am looking forward to tomorrow. I’m hoping I’m better grounded.
Thats going to be the title of the posts- “Tomorrow Here we Come”
I’ll look for it.
This is so beautiful TaDB-o!!! ^_^
This is beautiful, thanks for sharing it. Love how you describe details, gives a pretty specific mental picture plus it sounds poetic.
