Costy, bro! Hang on a second. Let’s review your situation from what I’ve learned about you in the last few months.
Things you lost:
God
A purpose in life
Sleep
Things you have:
Determination
Power
Intelligence
Health & good looks
You lost some pretty important things. Losing your purpose in life is the worst thing that can happen to someone (I feel it every damn day). But you have some pretty useful tools. Using those things you can accomplish almost anything you want. I guess the problem is figuring out what you want and why it’s worth the trouble.
All along I have felt that we are very similar (with me, without the health and good looks haha. But I did manage to find my abs by starving myself half to death). I never really believed in God, but I once had a purpose in life, and that’s almost the same thing. I believed that the world could be a good place if we all worked to fix it. Isn’t that basically what Christianity teaches? That we are all servants working for a higher purpose?
I think it’s possible to believe in a good world without believing in God. I remember you once talked about helping others (was it teaching children, I can’t remember?). Even though there’s no God, you can still do that, and maybe you can make the world good without God.
Well, I’m a filthy liar because I don’t believe the world can be fixed. That’s why I plan to die. Why bother living if you don’t believe the world can ever be a good place? But in the time I have left, it’s still nice to see people trying. Damn, that’s a nice feeling, to see people trying.
I know you once believed in making the world better. Costy, you can do that in so many ways. If you teach people about health and exercise can change people. And if you change people, you change the world. Who cares if God exists. Make the world awesome without him.
