I thought you might like to see my old point shoes, (dead) I never used these as I switched over to Bloch and I find Bloch is a much more superior pointe shoe than these. But as you can see, the ribbons are gone off these along with the elastics. I didn’t put on toe pads so it’s just bone one packed leather here. LOL I do not suggest that by the way. These how ever have a traditional rounded box and high vamp, my newer ones have a broad box mid vamps with a soft shank. The ones in the picture have a hard shank, my feet can’t work those as well as I’m slightly flat footed with a short arch.
Sorry not sure why they are sideways…they were turned the proper way when I uploaded them but not when they attached.
I took these pics a few days ago to show a friend that was curious of the style.

twix this rainbow – you seem like a completely beautiful person in so many ways.
I see two bowls behind you and your pointe shoes.
Dog? Cat? Who will take care of your pet?
Bowls in the kitchen…you have pets?
Ahh stay posted a few seconds ahead of me.
Ahhh yes, we’re both thinking the same – worried about the pet.
Pets?
Nice shoes though 🙂
I had to google “Bloch” shoes to find out what they were.
Never having been part of the dancing world, I never knew.
You look very graceful en pointe.
I could never, ever do that, for more reasons than I care to count.
Dance is an art, and it’s a sad thing when the world loses an artist.
I have to agree with you there, dance is an art. I firmly believe in people that are taught the art and do the motions verus a true dancer that lives the motions.
And thanks for the compliment.
How old were you when you began studying ballet?
Fairly young, 3 I think. I was in it for a couple of years then I was self taught for many years, then was classically trained in my very early teens to go on and work for a ballet company where I am from for a time. Now I just dance in my home going in circles. 😛
No pet…I was pet sitting. Don’t worry!!!!
I don’t think the pets are going to stop anyone from worrying.
I meant that to be, I didn’t leave my pet behind sort of statement. But thanks for the sentiment.
Sorry, I realize that and was just being smart alecky. Seems you got my message, though.
No need to apologize, you were making a point.
You seem to have such exquisite grace and peace.
I want to know, when you are dancing now – What do you feel? What are you thinking?
Thank you for that….
This is the one I was just dancing to…the reason why I love this one…minus the scene name is it’s all about the arms and the facial features. You have to give into the whole emotion in order to convey the intensity of what you are silently saying.

I feel…free…I feel…calm….and I feel a release that I only get when I dance. Its like I become someone else and I feel like I am weightless. Its indescribable really. Its just beautiful.
Maybe, just maybe, you can stay alive – – and just dance ALL of the time, except when you’re eating a churro. 🙂
I finally got that damn Churro LMAO
I also go to do this dance one year and it’s by far one of my top favorites…it looks so easy but it’s NOT! My feet hurt for weeks after this:

Is Tchaikovsky your favorite composer?
(At least as far as ballet is concerned?)
Yes, he is.
I watched the sugar plum video and it does look near-impossibly difficult, especially with all those spins at the very end.
I have never ever had poise and balance like that in my entire life.
The spins were always my favorite. I don’t get dizzy easily so I love love love that dance. I love to feel graceful and yet like I am flying all at the same time.
I’d chop off my right leg to be able to dance again. Honestly.
I’ve always been meaning to go see a ballet but never really getting around to it, which is a shame because my old dance teacher had the finesse of a fairy just… floating in place. She’d invited the whole class to go see her one time, and obviously everyone went, but not me — being the only guy in the class, I was sorta obliged to go along, but instead I passed out from all the bright lights at the dress rehearsal we had the night before our recital and was thrown in hospital. I ended up missing it by mere hours (the recital the night after and my teacher’s performance the night after that).
Mad respect for you dancers out there. Actual.
…and despite there being less than two hours on the clock, I think it’s safe to say that more than a couple folks ’round here would accommodate and facilitate and extended stay in this realm on your part.
Human being/cadaver.
Victim/survivor.
Useless drunk/drunk who’s useless.
I dunno. I just hate it when I’m watching this shit unfold.
PS — My aunt loved Ace of Base. I know “Que Sera” all too well.
Wow, I am sorry that would SUCK! I love to dance…it’s my passion.
Again, sorry if my writing is slowing down, I’ve gone in on myself….
I like your aunt. 😉
Also, thank you as well for the kind words.
How long did you dance? I would love to know more.
Well, I can’t even run and use a walking aid from time to time. C’est la vie.
I loved my aunt. It’s one year on Thursday since she lost her battle with cancer. I’ll be beside her grave with a bottle of whiskey and a bouquet of flowers.
Four years. I did jazz and a bit of contemporary. Last year of high school dance was awesome, but then I fucked up and… yeah.
You’re welcome for the words. Just take it easy tonight.
You aunt sounds amazing…granted, I only know that she loved Ace of Base so that is a huge in my book. 😀 Sorry about your loss…not that, that helps any. Such a funny word…”sorry”.
I did jazz for awhile, it was fun but not my cup of tea…I do enjoy lyrical though.
Would have been fun to dance together. I use to go swing dancing at one point in my life, that was fun.
