How do people deal with the idea and the inevitable occurrence of death. What’s the drive to continue, to become better, if everything you or I make will eventually rot away and turn to dust, including our achievements, our stories, and our families? What point IS there to do anything, when others of done it better than you ever can?

That’s the $64,000 question. Just do the best you can with the time you have. If you think about it too much it’ll drag you into the depths of hell and rot your mind.
One single step at a time. What else can we do?
Yeah, idk that’s why I’m here. Maybe create a fake profile on Yahoo and ask there, also let me know the answer.
The key is the enjoyment of the “doing,” not the status of the “done.”
Yes, we are dust. So why not have fun?
Existentialism is supposed to be liberating, not a curse.
SeeSmith here has the answer, I recently came to this conclusion also,
It’s the only reason I’m still going.
Only reason???
A multitude of angels playing trombones makes me hang on for dear life.
Only you can find the reason to live. There are many theories as to why we’re here. I find it all a sick joke mostly. Helps me cope. Trying to stay detached from as much as possible also works for me. When I become too attached to people/life etc. the disappointment is too big to deal with.
