A part of your story resonated with me. I felt it as I read it. Parental cruelty. I’m afraid that if I have to bear the mental consequences of my parents cruelty to a significantly higher degree than I presently do I will not survive.
What I want to say to parents who either abuse or neglect their kids is that if you give someone a bad childhood, don’t expect them to have a normal adult life or to accept your parenthood when they grow up. If you are not suitable to be parent, don’t have them. If you are to have them, keep them safe and love them a much as you can. If you can’t do either, then give them up for adoption when they are babies, and not into foster care when they are already grown up and have faced the worst that the world can offer. There are actually people in the world that can love your child more than you can.

I’m sorry.
