The stupid so’s-and-so’s. I’m almost out of painkillers and the antibiotics don’t seem to be doing much of anything – the infection’s actually getting worse, but at least the painkillers have been helping to keep me functional. Tomorrow is going to be a horror show, and I’m seriously pissed about possibly having to pay another stupidly expensive copay. It’s all painful, and yet so absurd.

I haven’t gone to doctor in 10 years. I use over the counters. Or suck it up.
Yep. That shit should be free. In the parts of the world where it is it is a huge success and is very popular.
I hate it too. I have voted with my feet. I t has been quite an adjustment. Each to their own, we are all different, but thank God I have been able to go without doctors for five years and dentists for 26 years by using self care. The results have been quite good, but again we are all individuals.
I must have bad genetics or something. It started just under my eyes, now it’s spread all along the sides of my face, down to my jaws and neck. I dunno if that’s just spreading inflammation, but ibuprofen doesn’t dent it. It’s no wonder to me that doctors have one of the highest suicide rates in America. They have to titrate care based on wallet biopsies. I might be able to afford to waste money on extra visits, but why should that be necessary? For other people, that’s the difference between paying rent and sleeping on a couch, or worse. It’s depressing in its existential reality.
Good news! The antibiotic I’m taking sometimes has a side-effect called, “Lethal diarrhea.” Fuck yeah, science. This is a success for capitalism! They finally did it! The bastards finally did it! They managed to weaponize diarrhea!
