No, they got management to agree to re-hire me if they drop the arbitration case, but now I have to go through the whole hiring process from scratch. And I have to wait for a loan on my 401k so I can pay rent and bills tomorrow. More ramen noodles and rice. I’m starting to feel Japanese.
Does it have a grace period before you get hired in completely/work or just a hassle? Is there seniority (like something that would affect pay/bids, or is that not applicable with a union)?
At least they agreed on something.
Better the ramen diet than the cottonball fad (real thing). It sounds like you shouldn’t have to move though (?), Good.
Once they do a new-hire, there’s a 90 day trial period before permanent placement, they hold checks for two weeks, and have stringent pre-employment drug screenings. Hooray, hair follicle testing. I’m banking on that loan coming in tomorrow, but I don’t trust financial institutions. We live in an insane world and nobody knows what’s going on. Why I chose the song – “Tell her to make me a cambric shirt (deep forest green), Without no seams nor needle work (blankets and bedclothes the child of the mountain)”. The anime’s good, too, though. “What are you doing at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?”
I’ve written out a comment two separate times today that my phone decided to eat.
They still going to give you your backpay for this process? If not it seems more excessive on their part to redo everything. My work used to do hair testing until the need for people trumped that.. now it’s urine test and breathalyzer.
That’s an intriguing title.. I’ve never watched much anime beyond Ghibli films though.
