Didn’t catch anything in the river. Found a really cool spot miles out on this derelict service road just off the main street in town. Of course, it started snowing and turned into an almost whiteout. Shock and awe, nature is the greatest terrorist. You think it’s Spring? Ha! Think again.
Feeling good now that I’ve had my nature fix. Stupid nature.
I did catch a big cat when I got home. I don’t think I’ll throw him back, he’s too cute.

That’s quite a cat-ch!
Glad you went fishing.
Aw, is that a window hammock? I know a few kitties who have and love one. Gotta put something in the window when its open tho cuz one will try to ride it down like an elevator otherwise
Yeah, I got it off amazon about a year ago and he’s been lodged in it ever since. I try to tempt him off with treats, catnip, toys, you name it, but he just sits there looking at me with those eyes, like he’s thinking, “Bring it to me, human! Why did you put the goodies so far away? You’re evil!”
Haha, i know one of the three tends to hog it, but hes only a couple years old so he still likes streaking around the house and pouncing on the others to stay in for long.
I was hoping to see a hellbender, but I don’t think they like the cold. Nature is just rude. A local university has a species reintroduction program for giant salamanders in this particular river, but I have yet to spot even a hint of them anywhere. Seeing a giant muck monster would make my life complete.
what a good boy! give him lots of pets 🙂
