It’s true, you fuck up the pace of your life once and it’s all over. I see now why Japanese schools are so strict and have so much of an influence in student’s lives, if you slip up even once in life, it really is all over. They’re not making it harder, they’re just bringing reality to the forefront of the equation. I left my hometown 9 years ago because of a condition, and trying to make any life out of the pieces is impossible. No one contacts me. It strikes me how competitive life really is. I missed out on some crucial experience time to build bonds. Now I have nothing and no one. And I probably never will ever again.

You can rebuild again, no matter how low life gets.
I know that you’re trying to help by giving “positive” hope. But in reality, sometimes it’s not that easy/simple, nor hopeful/beautiful. Wake up & open your eyes, look around you. Blind optimism & toxic positivity sometimes can’t/won’t even save you from the harsh reality.

& not to mention things like chronic pain/illness/disease.
Life is NOT a gift.

Sometimes the little things pull you through the bad, relationships too. I say keep trying. Take that with a grain of salt.
I see you’re in the same trap as me. I do think the solution is our mental state though. Making friends would help, but that is a potential temporary solution. They might not stay.
I think we just need to be okay with being alone. If we’re able to do that, we will never need to rely on anyone for happiness. Problem solved.
Except of course, how does one do that exactly?..
I’ve tried so many different approaches to fix my lonliness over the years. None have worked. And i still have no friends.

When I’m called a fa* in public, I crack a joke right afterwards and it breaks the ice after someone else laughs… Pathetic reasoning but it gives birth to new opportunities…. Things like “Hold hands, song hallelujah”
“Um, science Olympiad”
And “you want this- hands map to friend”
