Maybe not all of us but yeah I think most who end up at this site will not have a happy ending. I know I’m heading straight for the shit and picking up speed. Even on my ‘best’ days I know any moments of calm are just passing.
With me I have my exit planned and ready to go anytime. It’s a no brainer, I live around a lot of bridges and swift currents. The only question is when will something flip that final switch. Bring it on gods. Demons. humans. idfc what flips the switch. bring it on
all it indicates is that our trajectory has not yet escaped the event horizon of the shitshow
though according to conventional relativity, there is no escape
but assuming we can reach relavistic speeds which are required to escape, our trajectory could be pointed in such a direction. The cool thing about near light speed transport is the closer you get the less you observe time, so when you hit the speed to pierce the event horizon for a moment everything will be still, then suddenly there’s a sky full of stars where once was only black hopeless void.
Of course the universe keeps going, so it’s possible you’d emerge decades in the future relative to the surrounding universe
Actually I believe it’s the other way around. Inside the event horizon is very bright because of all the light being sucked in with you. If you somehow escape, your eyes would suddenly be hit with the blackness of space.
In non-metaphoric terms: This is the disappointment I encountered when I quit alcohol. Life was supposed to get better, I was supposed to see that dazzling bright sky. But nope, all that happened was I was suddenly lucid enough to see how fucked my life is. So why not dive back into the black hole? At least things were interesting in there…

Yeah, didn’t sign up for this shitshow

yup, there’s a reason why ppl drink to escape. without alcohol or drugs, we are lucid and see the reality, and reality sucks ass.
