Against suicide that is.
Why is it considered to be an actual problem that ‘must be stopped’?
It’s that one person’s choice whether they live or die and that is where the option should rest. Outside interference shouldn’t exist.
I don’t understand why so many people are so horribly against it.
I do understand why they may not like it and may want to help someone, but I don’t get why some people attempt to stop a person completely from their decision.
Especially strangers.
Do they feel sorry, or do they just want to do their good deed of the day?
Yes, my complaints are obvious and have probably been expressed hundreds of times by others before me, but I want a valid answer. One that actually makes sense.
Things like: “They just want to help” or “They don’t want a life to go to waste” aren’t valid answers. What they want doesn’t matter.
The want rests with the person who made their decision. They should be allowed to fulfill that if they damn well please.
“There have been many philosophical arguments made that contend that suicide is immoral and unethical.”
SO WHAT? That’s just…just stupid. That’s all I can think. It’s just stupid.
Society’s ‘rules’ are just stupid.

People are scared of the unknown. They think that praying to a god will save them from the ultimate hell. Whatever that is. The jesus freaks are scared for your soul. They are scared for their soul. They think that when you commit the ultimate sin ( suicide) not only will you go to hell, but they will too because they didn’t”help” you in time. Religion has taught people to fear everything. Imagine, with no fear, people would be dying all the time. There would be no human race, we would wipe ourselves out of existence.
Yet they contradict themselves when they say God forgives sinners. Really? So based on that logic, if I kill myself, I am going to hell, but dahmer, manson, mcvey, etc can go to heaven? WTF is that?
Why can we euthanize animals, but not people? People with traumatic injuries, and chronic pain – not just the physical pain, but the chronic, emotional pain as well. Just because you can’t see a broken heart doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. How do you heal a heart that has known nothing but pain and misery?
People are affraid of what they do not understand. You cant understand this if you have never felt pain. Emotional, physical or otherwise. There is no GOD or JESUS! I myself have suffered enough to pay for 3 lifetimes of sin if that were the case. I have more physical pain in my life in 1 day than most will experience in a lifetime! There is no relief for me.
Ha – Motogeezer – amen brotha!
I think what the young one wants is a rational, logical answer … and the answer is …
… wait for it …
… there isn’t one logical, rational answer to deny the choice of those who are mature (not: I did not say anything about “age”) enough to decide they no longer wish to play the game of “Life”. Those who think they “know” what we should “want” and how we should “value” life are only parroting the moral teachings of religion or some other moral guide of there own and trying to make you believe that what works for them MUST work for you … cuz “everyone” thinks life is good
people think I’m totally nutz cuz I don’t like seafood (yuck) … there MUST be something WRONG with me … EVERYONE likes some type of seafood!
Well – no … to me it tastes like gooey poop … hey – if you “like” gooey poop” – more power to you … I don’t prefer it … but either side of the debate has no real logic or rational reason or explanation – it’s a preference – a choice – based on many random experiences
random dawg
People fear death. They want to live forever. I would think christians would want to go to heaven. There are those who view life as a gift and they think it is great.
Christians must have doubt too if they’re that fearful of death.
