It sucks when you reach the point of realizing the benefits of self-destruction. But I guess that’s when you gotta try like hell to find a different way. Like suicide, certain acts of self destruction will make our pain go away. But they’re pretty extreme and permanent.
I think it’s ok to keep these things in the back of your head. Like emergency-in-case-of-fire-break-glass and the fire trucks will come and flood the place. But just like the glass, don’t break it unless you’re absolutely 100% sure. Try to find other ways of putting out the fire if you can manage. But keep the emergency plan (suicide? cutting?) in mind if it gives you comfort.
I dunno if that’s helpful or really bad advice, but it works for me. Well sorta. Most of the time at least. Crap. Well, carry on…

Whatever makes you happy, just be careful. You could cause permanent damage which you’d have to live with all your life.
