People like us. Only we understand each other. we lie everytime someone asks us “how are you” and we say “fine”. No one else gets that this life, this world the way it is, is a pointless existence that we shouldn’t be forced to go through, but here we are. Nobody else gets it. Maybe we are the smart ones. We are.

I agree, it’s completely pointless. I never asked to deal with life so why do I have to be punished by making me live? It’s not fair to me at all. We work all of our lives to have a sustainable life and then we get old and everything was for nothing because we die anyway. You’re right, maybe we are the smart ones.
Exactly! Though our pain, we tapped into a deeper level of consiousness and an understanding of reality that “normal” people can’t comprehend. They say we just need to talk to someone or up the dosage of medication as if there is a magical solution outside of death to end our horrors. Inside each one of us, is our own personal reality. People who never experienced real pain have this arrogance about them. They say catch phrases like “think positive” or “it will get better”. What a blanket statement!
^^This paragraph is perfectly said.
Yeah. I used to be one of those people, one that never understood how people can be chronically sad, cause there’s always something to be happy about. Maybe there is always a reason to be somewhat happy, but those reasons never just make your problems go away. And if some of them do go away, more come up. It’s a never ending battle and in the end, all of us have to ask ourselves if it was worth it. For smart people like us, though, it doesn’t take us until the end of our lives to figure out that we cried way more than we laughed, we suffered more than we were at peace, we hated more than we loved. We stressed about money, money, money, money, money from the time we learned what a dollar was. What about a life where money, suffering, heartbreak, and hatred didn’t exist? Why couldn’t that have been the life we had? Because people are selfish. That’s why.
