On how to conquer alcohol addiction. I usually drink about 8 ounces of hard liquor and about four 8% beers. When I don’t drink my body and my heart starts to feel weird and I don’t want to go through withdrawals as it is one the only ones that can be fatal. Someone please give me some help on how I can wean myself away from this liquid devil. I’ve been drinking for about 10 years. Off and and On super heavy but as of late really heavy.

Go to a hospital if you are serious about a detox.
There are a few different techniques available for combating alcohol addiction.
1) Start smoking.
2) Play the guitar.
3) Develop a new addiction. (Gaming, rock climbing, porn, whatever).
4) Find a new religion. Try Satanism if the standard ones don’t cut it for you. (Satanists are actually really nice people).

As an alcoholic myself, I know how hard it is to slow down or quit. I slowed down tremendously and drink heavily on the weekends. Other than that I have aids like xanex to get me by. I can go a week but I feel like hell until my next drink because I live with my aunt and uncle so I’m in a controlled environment. If your serious about quitting, I suggest detox. But most of the time it doesn’t work. I myself am not a severe alcoholic to where I shake. I think my addiction is more psychological at this point.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Yes detox would be a ***** for me, it’s out of the question pretty much. I guess I’ll just have to wean myself off somehow. I am prescribed Xanax and Temazepam and I take those daily. I have a problem with substances… it will either be the death of me or I’ll come out a new man. I dunno, everything is pretty up in the air at the moment it can go either way.
I hope you can find a way. One thing I did was switch to a lighter beer. I use to drink Natural Ice but than switched to Cooers Light. Problem is, I built up such a tolerance to it that I want it more often. Now my aunt won’t let me get Natural Ice even on occasion. I gotta find sneaky ways to get it.
Or I take xanex with alcohol. Onetime I took 7 with my drinks. Found myself sitting Indian style on the floor because I couldn’t walk. Felt fucking great though
