I am truly alone and one of a kind. Any indication of the contrary is a misinterpretation on my part or deceit from the other party, be it intentional or unintentional.
This individuality is the basis for my necessary death.
One of the most difficult, but important, things I’ve learned over the past few years while untangling my mind from the web of misguided logic I trapped myself in is that no one is really different, not categorically at least.
Most people, no. A select few, yes, although it is not as incredible as people think. It is often times very alienating and painful, despite it being so sensationalized in the media.
Also, how different people are depends on the kinds of archetypes we compare them to. If we choose really broad archetypes, then yes, your assertion that no one is really that different is indeed accurate. But if we use other, more specific archetypes, or compile someone’s different archetypes and use the end result as a means to establish a “sum archetype,” then we start to see more variations.
It’s not that you’re necessarily wrong, but how right you are is dependent on the kind of lens we use to analyze someone’s character.
Everyone has a unique combination of psychical and psychological traits. Some have uncommon combinations of traits or are uniquely lacking in certain traits (psychopathy, autism, genius, etc.), but no one is fundamentally different. No matter who you are, there are at minimum many people like you.
