i’m new here, and found this website due to heavily thinking about suicide. i used to be depressed, and it was like an endless, black abyss; now i am not even depressed, i’m at the point where i am numbed out. nothing makes me sad, but nothing makes me happy :/ just a little background on myself. but i found this piece in an article very interesting, it’s a read, but worth it; psychiatrists put emphasis on 3 main factors of suicide.

I’m watching The Bridge documentary, and someone reckons they have no answer for why people commit suicide. That’s because they don’t understand tat the answer is simply that people are in too much pain to live any more. Suicide is an answer. Just because to some it’s the wrong answer, doesn’t make it not the answer. And saying “Oh I don’t know the answer to why people kill themselves”, doesn’t make the answer any less deniable. Utter pointlessness

More and more frequently these days, I’m struck by how utterly pointless everything is. This is accompanied by a feeling ofÂ profound sadness. This usually happens during a fixed time period during the day (in the afternoon), when I’m alone. I think I can understand why people commit suicide — it’s perfectly understandable. If there is a button I can push to get out of this world, and if it doesn’t involve pain or decomposing body, I think I might push it. I read Splinter’s post http://suicideproject.org/2010/08/lets-face-it-were-all-evil-in-some-way/ which was brought to the fore and I cannot stop reading it over and over and over. And this person is gone after really fighting. After really doing the unimaginable. I sit here sad for various known reasons and the urge to do something is sitting there. But what in the hell am I supposed to do? I thought about writing a small thing about why people commit suicide. It would involve as much of the truth as I know. But i realize I get burnt out easily.
