hey, folks!
if I’m missing some of the finer arts of ortogrphay and grammar, please don`t blame me. i`m no native speaker of english, but joining this forum from overseas.
my point is though, i don`t see any meaning in life. i am not religious, i am an atheist.
i lost my job now twice by the company going ruinous in between twelve months an had a junior-managemt-position both times; also, the search for new employers isn`t working out too well.
and then, to mention also, i`m not one to make a familiy…
so, to put the whole matter in a nutshell, as i was tought would be a good idiom, why the hell keep the struggle on, if there is a shortcut?

I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your jobs. I always used to wonder why humans had such a long lifespan and perhaps it is because it takes longer for us to discover our own purposes in the world. I think you can still find meaning in life regardless of whether or not you believe in any religion. You just have to find out that meaning for yourself and that may take a while. As for the jobs I’m sure you will get other offers and I hope you do get an offer soon. So I think if you were to take the “shortcut”, you may miss that essential thing in life that gives you purpose. Also it is not always a family that gives you purpose, there are other things, things that you may feel strongly about.
I always believe that struggles and hardships exist in order to make the sufferer a stronger person, once they get through all of it.
I hope that job seeking can turn around for you. I also hope that you can discover your purpose in life whatever that may be. Please do not end it or you may miss out on so much. All the best.
Thanks for the cheering up, but I’m afraid, that still doesn’t give the whole thing of living or life any meaning…
Your post reminded me of a George Bernard Shaw quote that I think touches on the idea of ‘life purpose.’
“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.â€
I think any purpose or meaning that someone has in his or her life is there because he or she has chosen or created that purpose or meaning.

All bullshit, even the “things happen for a reason”. Life just sucks monkey balls, either you put up with it and maybe you will some kinda fleeting one sec happiness or you will die,go back to the nothingness. La Di Da, great choices ain’t it?
Exactly my point; leave behind your footprint in histrory, and what do you gain from it: nothing; you have the benefit of being mourned at and, eventually, whorshipped, but that doesn’t make any difference for you personally!
So you are still the silent, unimportant nothing, and even if your demise shall result in some suffering by those still alive, the sufferers will go into the mud, too, won’t they?
So ultimately, it doesn’t matter, whether you live or die?!
