Ok, I just have to say that I don’t really have a problem of me being this way (all sad and depressed and stuff) but it hurts so damn bad that other people feel the same way. That really hit me. I saw this video of this boy who have much of the same pain as me, but it hurt damn much to know that there is so many people out there who feel some of the same way..

Agreed.
I have a friend who feels the way I do and I don’t want her to because she doesn’t deserve this pain and I love her too damn much and put. A fake smile on so she doesn’t see my pain and feel the same way.
Totally get that.
No truer words were said, EmmyRose.
Sometimes one hurts worse for others than one does for self.
Even in the deepest darkest pits of our own hells.
Not for those who society says we should pine for, but our own family of those who cannot/will not/do not ascribe to what stereotypically normal is. Or rather who do not have as strong of a facade as to even delude ourselves away from prying eyes.
Emmy,
It may be possible, though I have no proof obviously, but a large portion, perhaps flirting with half of the human population wants to die. Sure they will not admit it, they may not even contemplate killing themselves regularly, but if were given a simple, peaceful, dignified way to simply die, well…I think that the numbers of people throughout the world that would choose to die would be staggering.
You must remember that NO ONE is what you INTERPRET them to be. Humans only PRETEND to be what they THINK other humans are. In other words, humans are acting like the false charades that other humans are putting on. No one is on the outside what they are on the inside. We are too much of insecure, isolated, and “lost” being to reveal what we are because we do not see others as ourselves.
No one wants to be the “freak”, the “outcast”, the faulty, the anomaly. No one wants to make it clear that they are the only one that exists like them in the universe. Because that would reveal the obvious to themselves. And that reality is more than most can bear. There are many psychological explanations for this “secret” that all humans hide about themselves, which is themselves. 😀 I have even eluded to this in other posts in this forum.
Since “everyone” seems to be okay with life and they all seem to be playing this role that they are expected to play, we naturally reflect this, or do our best to imitate that which we see other projecting, their costumes. So we don the same costumes to be “normal”.
It is actually very funny! Think about it. You have an entire race of beings, all spending the majority of their existence doing everything that they can to be something, act like something, reflect something, that does not and never did exist. Hilarious, except that the posturing, false poses, and reading of lines from a script that we didn’t write, is both demoralizing and very painful to the soul at the same time.
Every hurts the way that we on this site do. We are just those willing to express it, or even accept what we feel internally. Many “happy” people are exactly as “sad” as anyone on this site simply because they cannot bear to drop their act. They cannot bear the idea of being labeled “depressed”, “disordered”, “insane”,or any mental label that is stigmatized and ridiculed, because that would just add to their pain.
Life itself is the source of unhappiness. It is not “bad things” that happen to us. (Though we can easily use these events or circumstances to strengthen our arguments why we want to die.) It is not “bad luck”, “misfortune”, or anything negative about or happening to us that is the underlying reason why so many humans are unhappy.
It is really that we as creatures are unsuited for life. This life, no matter how “perfect”, will always be painful for us (each and every one of us). We have the ability to contemplate the misery and futility of our existence. We are an aberration of evolution, consciousness is not necessary, conducive, or efficient for life.
Everything, but life (all life), in the universe strives to reach its lowest energy potential. Or in words that are more useful in this discussion, everything in the universe “wants” to die. “Life” is the impractical and futile attempt of nature to overcome physics. 😀
I understand what you’re saying…it’s a lovely sentiment. What I would encourage is sending people good vibes. I used to feel the pain of a lot of people and it was bringing me down but I’m of no use to anyone if I feel the way I do, as well as thinking about the pain of others. It’s only our job to carry our load…It’s good awareness to have compassion and feel for others in the same boat.
I’d send good vibes out to anyone you sense is in distress, you don’t need to get into their stuff, just simply drop off a good feeling vibe….doesn’t seem like much…but it’s powerful form of support!
Take care!
