We’re constantly told that “life isn’t fair” and to just shrug it off. But that’s ALWAYS said by ppl who grew up in avg or advantaged households.
Why SHOULDN’T life be fair? Why should we just blindly accept the “life isn’t fair” bs?
Go to Scandinavian countries. They are white, prosperous, have higher standards of living, and the discrepancy between poor, middle class, and wealthy is NOT a giant chasm as it is in the US.
Sure there are rich and poor, but it’s WAY more equitable and fair there. The avg person there lives happier and have more money than ppl here. If it can be done there, why can’t it be done here?
Same in Japan. The the disparity between the rich and poor are nowhere as bad as it is here. The avg person there lives a pretty good life.
It is much more equitable and fair there. If they can do it, why can’t the US?
We are told, SHOVED the “well life isn’t fair” spiel so that we wouldn’t rise up and demand fair wages and fair prices from companies.
Yet Americans just don’t get that concept. Americans have blindly swallowed and accepted that “life isn’t fair” the rich have shoved down our throats.
And if anyone disagrees, like When I’m trying to talk to other ppl (Americans) about this, all I get is a shrug, and “well it is what it is” from ppl.
No, it ISN’T. If ppl just accepted everything as “it is what it is” then we’d still have child labor and working 18hr days 6d a week. It’s that attitude of “oh well, it is what it is” that results in Americans being lazy apathetic and do NOTHING to make changes.
Those in power NEVER change UNTIL and UNLESS ppl start complaining and DO something about it.
Take a look at history- every single uprising, every single victory or gain by the masses and the poor have had, was ALL a result of standing up and not taking shit anymore. Something that Americans have forgotten.
I don’t understand why Americans don’t do shit.
Take a look at France. Italy. Ecuador. These ppl get together and have mass walkouts, strikes, etc when corporations and govt do them wrong.
And yes, when the masses get together, it IS effective. But it requires EVERYONE to protest.
But Americans? Can’t be bothered. “Eh, it is what it is.”
More Americans vote on American idol than in elections. Can’t be bothered.
More ppl know everything about the Kardashians than know where Iran is on a map. Can’t be bothered.

Why is it that I’m the LONE person thinking this? Even among my white collar college educated 100K+ American peers?
It’s not rocket science and I’m no genius. Yet 95% of Americans are Sheeple who don’t question and just accept everything- “it is what it is.”
