Hang in there dude. It does suck when people start comparing your life to others, and it shouldn’t be done. Everyone is different and have different motivations. Just because you know people who have figured out what they want to do as a career doesn’t mean that you won’t. Just take it a step at a time. If you don’t know what you want to do yet, community college is an option, to take classes you might find interesting and it adds to a degree if you decide to go further in school. That’s what i did. I would recommend spending a couple of hours during the week somewhere quiet where you can look online and research some careers or jobs you might be interested in doing. Make sure it is quiet though so you aren’t distracted.
Assist.org is a good website to look at college majors and if you click on the college major website, they usually give ideas of what type of job it can lead to. TED.com is another good website to watch videos on career ideas. They show videos from art to technology. There are plenty of careers available too that don’t require college. Just do what makes you happiest. Hang in there!
