Okay So when I get home from school I am going to drive up to my ex boyfriends moms office to talk to her. I just wanna say hi and see how she’s doing and just talk about stuff in general… Is this a really bad or really dumb idea?

If you must question your plan this much, turn around and go watch a movie instead.
Crazier things have been done. That being said it depends on your real intentions. I have tried ‘just dropping in’ on old friends, and it never worked out the way I predicted.
It depends on what you are setting out to achieve. If you genuinely got along well with your ex’s mother, then that’s cool. If it’s to try and weasel some sort of info out of her as to what the ex is up to, or you didn’t get along with her all that well, then perhaps it’s not such a good idea.
it went as planned. my plan really had been to just stop by and say hello.
