Humans naturally assimilate the traits of other beings in their environment. It’s part of our natural adaptive tendencies. Think quantum entanglement and quantum superposition. Whatever you interact with, becomes part of you. Whatever you relate to, or with, affects you in some way. In order to avoid being ‘infected’ by factors and traits of other beings, you must avoid associating with them. Don’t be entangled or superposed with them.
Also: don’t worry about shallowness. A little shallowness is not always such a terrible thing. Sometimes it’s good to “keep it light.” The lighter you keep it, the less it should affect either entity.
“quantum entanglement and quantum superposition. Whatever you interact with, becomes part of you”. clevername, have you ever wondered about love? you know, i sometimes think this quantum entanglement and quantum superposition is actually what people call love. and that ‘love at first sight’ which changes one’s whole being, one’s whole nature in a single moment, is some kind of quantum fluctuation 😛
Well, i’d say it’s certainly more than a “quantum” fluctuation. Love tends to manifest as an experience that is far above and beyond the minimal amount of a thing required, to still call it that thing.
I used to wonder about love, until i experienced it. I definitely would like it to happen again, but i absolutely don’t want it to happen with the wrong person. IMO, the good is vastly outclassed by the potential for bad. I would much prefer to have strong-like for a person. Love is dangerous because it can become corrupted and turn to hate. Lots of people might not like that statement, but it’s true. They aren’t opposites, though. Indifference is the opposite of love.
Anyway, i try not to occupy myself with thoughts of impossible things, which, for me, seems to include the experience of another love.
I was always told “be a lover, not a fighter.” I’ve been both, but now i’m neither. I can’t be a lover without a lover to love me, and i don’t see much, if anything, worth loving. And without love, what’s worth fighting for? I suppose the next best thing would be to fight for minimizing or eliminating being affected by the effects caused and imposed by others. It’s worth fighting to not be affected by something you didn’t choose. Fight to break or avoid entanglement, fight to never be superposed. Obviously that’s impossible, but you can reduce and minimize unwanted effects. But there is often an unwanted price, to do so. It’s all about finding a suitable compromise, in a defensible position, for justifiable reasons. Do whatever you want, but sometimes you won’t, because the price is too high. Love is free, but keeping it and surviving it, costs a fortune.
have you experienced everything!? your views matches so much with so-called great writers or philosophers (sorry but how else i can judge, for in terms of experience i’m just a boy). when in that age post you said ‘i’m immeasurably old’ i thought you are joking, but now i think that was a fact!

lol. I’m taking that as a compliment.
