Since when did this place breed so much hate and hurt? if its not here its in a chatroom related to this place. i think which post im talking about if obvious.
the thing is that post and this post shouldnt be necessary. is there not enough hurt in our lifes outside the sight that it becomes necessary to hurt other members?
To “joke” at their exspence for nothing other than cruel enjoyment at hurting others, was it not that cruelty from others that drove us here? is this what our members consist of, abusers and abused?
I am here because this is the one place that kept me going, no matter how incredibly lonely i get, this place is here. I have made friends here, friends i love like family. but you know something?
For the first time in three years of membership to this sight, i am genuinely ashamed to be associated with it and i lament the distortion and sickness that has invaded this place, where we hate so much more readily than love,
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.â€â€• Nelson Mandela
When did this place become something so peverted…

“some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused.” -Eurythmics.
@scarredkitty, are you saying people enjoy being the victim?
well mainly i’m just quoting a song. but i do think ppl believe they deserve to not be treated well, and in turn consent to being the victim in certain circumstances. most likely, they do not enjoy it. who enjoys that? but some ppl feel they can be bullies and some ppl feel they deserve to be bullied due to past experience
Unfortunately, people can post hateful comments on here routinely, those comments can be reported, and THE ADMIN(S) DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING even though at the top of the site it clearly states “don’t post hateful things here.” They respond when they are being criticized, but other than that they let people remain on this site who should have been banned long ago for posting hateful comments.
Haven’t I also read that people should not push religious comments? As in, commenting with religious help is ok but zealous commenting should be avoided…
I could be mistaken of course. It’s just my opinion that discussions of Religious and/or Political nature allways end in flamewars and detracts from the actual issue at hand.
Well we have at least one person on this site who makes hateful comments AND pushes their religion on others when it is clearly not wanted.
Um, all we have to do is look at your latest post, fool.
Half this site would be banned for hate comments, including you.
General rule of thumb for moderators…Ban the troll, not those incited by it
I love it when a comment ends with the word “fool.” I always read those in a Mr. T voice while picturing Eddie Murphy on stage.
wasamata? you having a bad day up in Ohio?
lol
cabin fever? lol
WIG honest question.
do you treat christians differently than you treat non-christians? do you offer them your love and criticize those who are not christian?
For the record, I love all, even Christian haters (and we have many on this site).
Do I treat believers differently from those who don’t accept God?
Its my job as a Christian to spread the Word. If someone outright rejects/mocks it, and especially if they do so maliciously, as seen on here, I will not be “mre nice guy” about it.
Then there are those who simply don’t believe, but aren’t hateful about it. I am friendly towards them.
To other genuine Christians, I get along well.
Then there are those who call themselves Christians, but aren’t. I will point out their errors based on genuine and fundamental Scripture.
But yes, there is a division in this world,,,,,
Believers and non believers.
WIG, all nonbelievers are future/potential believers, and you have merely caught them early. You should afford them at least the same amount of respect and even MORE patience, no? They know not what they do….they deserve your sympathy. Your kindness. And if you feel the time is right, your gentle prodding to to correct path. But this cannot be a push. Rather, you can take their hand, and help them find a path that will lead them to god.
@jswissman: i believed i was the only one who listened to eddie murphy’s “fool” when i read that word… lol
yeah. i only bring this up because i see you making distinctions to people here. and i studied Christianity for awhile. i understand it a great deal and it was a part of my schooling, as well as faith classes and whatnot. basically, you could say i know my shit.
you’re supposed to follow Jesus and emulate him. that means not putting stipulations on who is what and who is this. it means loving every human that graces your path because they are human. now i can’t believe i’m preaching to the christian here, as i myself no longer follow the faith, because i didn’t like what i became when i did. but as you said, you believe you should point out the err in other christians’ ways. well, i feel it is my duty to point out to you, that you are also human, christian or not, you err. if you did not err you would be god and you WIG, are not god. so please do some introspection and evaluate whether you are really bringing love in your heart to every person you meet. this is the internet so it is always hard to tell, but thru text your words should still not seem so hateful if you’re really operating from a place of love that god has given you.
i guess you could say i was a lot like you. i was looking for who “was in” and “who was out”..like that actually made a difference. because it shouldn’t. whether you know someone’s faith or not that really doesn’t say much about the content of their heart. no one knows that but god, so we are told. so you are to treat all people with genuine love.
i kicked the religion but still have a sense of spirituality, right and wrong, good and evil. i’ve become a much gentler person without religion, tbh.
just food for thought.
