My First Poem

“I’ve searched for reason and answers in a sea of doubt and uncertainty.”
That line is true, I can relate to it. Every-time I try to find something, it’s like I’m looking in all the wrong places. When I turn elsewhere, I see that maybe there isn’t even a right place to look for things.

“We strive toward the fanciful fairy tale of joy. The one that they told us when we were little girls and little boys”
Another line I like. Joy. Joy might just be a fairy tale. Something children are told. Successful people seem to think that Everybody will find joy at some point is we just ‘wait’ or ‘fight’. Well, good for all of you. The world isn’t always in everybodies favor.

“I’ve tried to make sense of the nonsensical”
True also. I find myself doing this, when nothing makes sense I have a dream that there must be some sense in the “nonsensical”. Just like there is always light in the darkness, or so they say. But there is, quite honestly, none. It’s just one more thing I want to give up on.

I really liked this poem, bullfrog. And those were a few lines I wrote about; things I was feeling while reading it. I always wonder if I’m putting my belief or disbelief in the right or wrong places. And I noticed you said it was your first, that is really great for a first. Well, it’s really great anyways!
