No. It ‘s a given next to no one agrees with most suicides. Let’s use your suicide as “a mistake” in their eyes, not yours. Think back whenever you have made mistakes in the past that weren’t received well by “them” Are you thinking of some?
Now the more information they have, the more they read into it. The more they analyze how wrong you were and what you could done differently. Even what they could of done differently.
This is trival but use a credit card for example. Your spouse is looking over the charges while you’re at work….like a note would be read after you’re dead…. oh, I see he went to the Adult Book Store, and The Tavern and multiple charges at a cheap hotel….
Would you rather your spouse see the invoice and charges, or simply see the paid amount on the bank statement?
And if you take the time to research suicide notes….you’ll find throughout history, they haven’t really been used until recently. They say it’s about 50/50 people leave on these days.
Keep in mind that I’m pro suicide. My sister left a fucking journal. This thing was passed around from family member to family member. End result, when anyone thinks of her, their minds drift to the twisted maze of that journal. Over four decades of life are overlooked by her eight final pages.
So if you have the ability to convey your life’s existence in a few lines or a couple pages. Keep in mind, that’s how you’ll be remembered.
I support a sentence explaining the method and that you did it on your own will for legality sake….but excuses, directives and last minute feelings….no way
yeah i probably would. to let people know and to leave my final thoughts to all the important people in my life. it’ll probably be the most important piece of wiring ill leave.
I think it depends. For me the writing has been on the wall with increasingly declining health. I don’t think it would be productive, outlining every negative thought or justification. I do thin it is important to make a point of telling people you live them.
Yes, I would leave the note. Several years ago, I had one written up. It simply explained a summary of the then-current state of affairs. I asked for a few possessions to be given to certain people.
I also sent out an e-mail… and when someone read between the lines, it knocked my plans off track.
Would I leave a suicide note? Only for specific people. Like my family, perhaps. If I know somebody well enough – or I should say – if they know *me* well enough, then they would already know all my reasons for leaving and anything I’d have to write in a note, they’d already know. For all the other people, I’d have to dumb myself down and explain why I’m so sad, because they either a) don’t really know what it’s like to experience sadness b) they help cause sadness.
I have written many suicide notes without intent of giving them to the person I specified it to. I mean, I’ve already tried explaining to people so many times why I feel like what I do, but they just don’t get it. Suicide is not revenge for me, but if anybody feels bad about it then good (i mean to say the people who worsened my depression).

Yes. I think people deserve to know why you did what you did.
still deciding. at first i thought i wouldn’t as a ‘fuck you’ to everyone. maybe just for a few 2/3 people but that’s it.
I would. I feel that they would want to hear what my last thoughts were.
I would because i would want someone to know why i did it or that it was me and no one elses fault.

Yes I would. I have already. Now I just need to die.
