You can’t go out each day dwelling on that reality; you’ll just frustrate yourself. Take things one day at a time. Acknowledge the things you’d like to change, and take small steps to mold them into what you’d like to be. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed by life. Don’t see it as a character flaw. Be strong. I believe in you.
one of the major problems is all the lies most children are raised to believe, which is constantly touted as “for their own good” or “for their protection.”
But what good is protecting someone from exactly what they need to experience, in order to become skilled at managing and navigating that realm of experiences?
Parents are stunting their children’s growth, by allowing their fears (often unreasonable) to translate into detrimental misguidance and excessive sheltering… only to have it blow up in their faces, sooner or later, about how they lied to their kids and failed to prepare them for the harshness of the real world.
