I opened this account around a year ago I think. I’ve referred two of my friends to this cite for things they couldn’t talk about. And I still have other friends with depression. I don’t understand the double standard of “I can be in pain, I can cut, I can try to die, but you can’t.”

Why seek fallacy or hypocrisy in the words of someone who genuinely cares about you and is doing all within their power to prevent and protect you from enduring the same trials and tribulations as they are. We here should be appreciative and grateful that their are people here who express altruism and love even in the face if their own adversities. We may have many different reasons for ending up at The Suicide Project, but one thing that is for certain is we all have a universal experience with pain.
It is this mutual understanding that motivate people here to help others. Many as well feel their experiences and lessons learned with dealing with depression and life in general, has given them beneficial knowledge in which they feel others can utilize to help themselves.
So what are we? A bunch of suicidal and depressed strangers who come from all walks of life, bunched into a forum where we have the freedom to express ourselves anymously with the ability to ascertain support and help from others who understand us and or pain.
