It seems like it’s only popular in Asian countries but it doesn’t seem to work for people in America. Are people just not burning the charcoal in the right space?
Might be the room space thing. Most homes on asian countries have smaller rooms, and i’m guessing they are better isolated for noise (which works for inert gasses too). It’s still a long shot tho, been there (unintentionally) and it could really mess you up on the long term.
There’s lots o things to consider… the big one is the size if the room and the displacement of air within… you have to consider the amount of charcoal required… might need a lot. Just a thought.

it depends on a lot of things. most people fail.. so no. any method could fail. so don’t try. just hang in there
If you have a room that is air tight then probably yes but there are other more straightforward and effective methods

I wouldn’t try it if I was you. Sounds like a horrible and painful idea.
