Nothing, you just cease to exist.
Once your brain stops to function, your counsciousness goes along with that.
No one can explain nothingness, so it’s hard to accept that fact.
So no reincarnation as well.
It’s like sleeping and ever waking up again. No one can explain that, how to explain death anyway?
Maybe someday they can explain it, but it’s hard to comprehend nothingness. Once every living being dies at someday, nothing will exist anymore, basically, because no one will be alive to recognise what exists or not.
We are just the slaves of our bodies, it’s like the little piece which you call as your counsciousness is completely driven by the hidden instincts of your body, you just obey it. Deluding ourselves to no limit just to stay alive for a little more.
But I must admit that life itself is a miracle, the reason for it to exists can’t be explained, I think that there is no need of a reason at all, but even thought it looks like a miracle, it’s just indifferent, it’s a darwinistic world in the end.
I can’t explain the reason but I can understand how it works and I really don’t like about how it works, it’s just random.
Its only natural to think that there’s something after death.
Everything that we couldnt answer in the past, received a religious/spiritual answer. OH YOU DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU DIE? YOU FEAR DEATH? ITS ALRIGHT, TAKE THIS GENERIC RELIGIOUS ANSWER FOR IT.
Answering your question: i agree with the “Lupus” guy above.
I’ve died 3x….every time it was the same….just blackness and a strange form of what I could only describe as conscious…like being aware but seeing nothing and feeling nothing.
I do have to add…that if science has anything to say about it, matter cannot be created nor destroyed, so it leaves one to wonder. We are made of matter, matter is energy, we are full of energy, so where does it go? Just a thought I like to toy with from time to time.

I almost died once it was like the end of the last Sopranos episode when it just cut to black.
