I don’t think I can be saved. I’m seriously considering murdering my great-grandmother since I feel her death would be merciful for the entire family… I know killing an old lady of 103 with severe dementia is morally questionable but I know I’m immoral. I mean I think Earth will be better off without humans and would even nuke Earth if I could. Sorry animals but it’s for the greater good.

What greater good exactly?
All you would be doing is making the world even more evil.
Define greater good. I used to think that the world would be better off without human beings a while back, but then you have to consider that human beings are likely the only species to have the intelligence to actually appreciate most things in existence (animals act mostly for survival/basic instincts). Maybe the greater good would be finding a way for humankind to get it’s shit together? no idea, and maybe i’m just rambling but… heh, who knows.
Zetsumei,
she will die any time now, 103! let her go naturally, the world will be without humans one day on it’s own, don’t let it bother you.
You know, I’ve never understood misanthropy. Sure, humans are vicious and cruel. But y’know what? So is, like, every other animal. I’ve seen wolves murder pregnant elk for the sport of it, and rip out their fetal calves while they’re still kicking. And guess what? Wolves don’t feel any guilt. Animals don’t repent.
Humans are the only remorseful creatures, and the only ones sorry for their own existence and their own crimes. That has to count for something, right? That has to redeem us somehow.
Zet you’re having a rough night hu?
Zet, I def understand the feeling. You shouldn’t kill your aunt though, simply because you’d be ruining your long life in exchange for like, 2 years of hers. Not worth it mate. But yeah, family sucks.
By Greater Good, I mean on the level of destruction, no animal is capable of killing/injuring several creatures in under a minute. Sure, one could say animals don’t feel guilt but in the spur of the moment do humans feel guilt for their actions outside of themselves? Does a reckless driver think, “I’m sorry for speeding; person I’m about to hit” right before impact? No, they don’t… Humans only feel guilt after a critical moment or to be specific, after they get caught. Every living creature can be cruel. By that account, instinct is cruelty in itself. Besides, guilt is just vanity in disguise. At the end of the day, humans are only interested in protecting their “lives”, “appearance” and principles.
Setting off a nuke or killing your grandmother is still a really sucky answer to that problem. Essentially, you’re choosing to do exactly what you criticize. Human beings have a choice, and believe it or not, there are actually some decent people out there trying their best to make the world better.
