I think this photo will be the wrong way around when it posts, but oh well.
I finally went to see Deadpool yesterday, so of course I had to draw him. I don’t really like the way this turned out, but I decided to post it anyway since no one else will look at it. So, despite not leaving my room until 3 or 4 in the afternoon, I still had a productive day.

Nothing short of amazing. I loved deadpool (well, i’ve loved him for almost a decade now, lol, but the movie was awesome), and your drawing completely captures his attitude (and looks amazing). I do have one thing to point out tho.
FRANCIS.
Deadpool has always been one of my favourites.
Thanks, I’m glad you like it.
I originally intended to have something relating to Francis in the drawing, but from the rough sketches it was obvious it would look awkward.
Haha, yeah, i’m guessing it would have been weird. BTW i notice you’re using markers, are those resistant to paper? i ask because i remember trying to draw a few decades ago with some markers (hell, i can’t even remember the brand) and they wore down a lot when using them on plain paper, but that could have been just because they were pretty cheap, lol.
They’re copics, so they’re alcohol-based. The main problem with the tips are that they can start to bend from being pressed into the paper so much. The tips are soft so they don’t rub into the paper and wear it down, and they don’t really pick up pigment when layering them.
The ink bleeds across most paper types, and through the paper, so it’s recommend you buy marker paper (though, I don’t, and I use multi-media, thick paper).
Yup, that was pretty much the prob i had back then, tips went to hell after a couple of hours of drawing, so i just stuck with graphite b/w drawings. If i ever draw again (which i do once in a blue moon now) i’ll get some copics to try them out, thanks for the advice!
I typically do graphite drawings, though I’ve decided I’m going to use my markers again now.
If you get Copics, the Ciao are the least expensive ones but they have a limited range of colours – 144 if I remember correctly.
That is truly an amazing piece of artwork. Kudos for creating that, it must have taken many hours of practise.
I am really impressed.
Thank you. I haven’t been using markers that long, really. I’ve had them for about 7 months or so, and only really done a handful of drawings with them (partly because of my mental health, partly because of laziness).
I did a portrait not that long ago, if I can find it I’ll post it.
Very talented
Thank you.
You are a very good artist.
I wish I had your abilities. 🙂
Thank you, I’m glad you like it c:
You using copics? I wanna have copics.
Hey I like the way you apply colors and shadows. Nice!
I started off with spectrum noir when I first got into markers, but I use copics more instead. I used a couple spectrums in this though, since I haven’t got many copics right now.
And thanks c:
What other techniques do you like? Do you use colour pencils?
It’s rare I used coloured pencils, but the majority of my drawings are graphite. Since I almost always do realistic drawings (if I don’t, it’s usually not by choice), I go through ridiculous amounts of pencils. My favourite things to draw (which makes me gets weird looks from everyone else) are hands and mouths.
I love hands and feet… I am not so good at drawing mouths I still have to pay more attention to them.
So I am trying color pencils now so I can learn to use colors in a more clean way.
But now I want to get to see one of tpur other drawings… any advice for a beginer?
I’ve barely drawn feet. I spent weeks drawing hundreds of mouths on different pieces of paper once.
I recently bought a new set of coloured pencils, but I have yet to use them. I might upload some more drawings soon, if you’re interested in seeing them then.
As much as i hated hearing it, the best advice to give is to just keep practicing all the time. I used to draw for at least 2 hours everyday. For things you find more difficult, practice those more often, too. Study proportions, shadows, highlights, ect.
Also, for coloured pencils, make sure they’re soft lead, otherwise they won’t blend together well.
I’m awful at advice, sorry.
Well that’s a nice advice I can use a lot of practice. Once I told a girl I follow on YouTube about I being scared of using my art supplies because it was a waste oandf time and money, she told me using them could be like eating a chocolate, something to be enjoyed as you consume it. I thought it was a nice thing to say, so now I am using them a lot hahaha.
So I would say, do enjoy your color pencil box. You are really good, what about trying to sell them on internet (js)
I’ll be drawing now and I am looking forward to see your work.
Hugs
I love that chocolate thing c:
I used to avoid using my art supplies in fear of messing up the drawing and wasting the lead or ink is put on the page. But art is about learning from mistakes, and fussing over a little ink and paper will lengthen the growing process as you become a better artist.
I’ve always wanted to have my own online shop to sell prints and canvases and such. Though, I’m not sure if I could do it now. I doubt I could manage it at the moment because of my mental state.
You don’t have to manage it. There are nice apps that do that for you now. You better risk at doing it and getting a mess out of it that will make you keep on drawing and moving, than to cross your arms and rest out of the fear of nessing it but not doing what you are good for.
Go for it, better wrong than still.
I think the important thing here is that you will be drawing and doing it for you, showing yourself you are really good at this no matter you get tangle with other things.
the business itself is not the target.
I’ll see how I feel about doing it when I get better, and what I’ll need to do for it.
I think you should put more of your drawings here, would like to see
I’ll post another drawing soon then c:
Omg Jiminy you are awesone!
Thanks, Hazy c:
oh gooob that’s awesome!! Heeey do you know the difference between copic ciao and sketch?? I have sketch but i want to get ciao but im not clear on what the difference is .-.
The differences are the number of colours available for each type, and the price. The Ciao are the least expensive; however, there are only about half of the colours that the Sketch have. The Copic Sketch is more expensive and comes in 358 colours (I think). Other than that, they’re both the same. They’re both refillable and have the same brush tips.
Wow I never knew that. I’ve always seen other artists use both sketch and ciao on their artwork and I thought they had to have different nibs or something. All I know now is that your Deadpool drawing is by far the best I’ve seen yet
You can get bullet nibs if you want to change one of the ends, but they make it difficult to blend since they’re harder. Sometimes the bullet tips are used for drawing the lines though, because they don’t really bend.
Thanks
You did a fine job son!
Thank you c:
Holy hell that is amazing. I saw your Superman v Batman post and was amazed, but this, holy shit. Excellent job.
Thanks, I’m glad you like them.
Your spot on drawings continue to impress me. Amazing job.
